An older friend told me this: when someone older shares their wisdom, listen close. Eat the meat, spit out the bones. You don’t have to agree with everything, but at least consider what they have said. Pay attention. Think about it all. Act accordingly.

Only one cup, but I drank it slow. Couldn't find anything I'd want to debate with Mr. Smith, especially carrying a defensive pistol without a round in the chamber. Most people, especially as they get older, are going to have enough trouble reacting to a life threatening situation with one IN the chamber. Having to rack one in will almost surely result in rendering the pistol worthless.

Interesting video. When I began the police academy in ‘68 we were taught accuracy w/our revolvers (bulls eye shooting) but not how to survive a gunfight. Following my 1974 gunfight w/three armed robbery suspects our range training changed, and we were trained how to win a gunfight. I was damn lucky to have come out on top that night, but I’m also a Viet Nam combat vet so that may have had something to do w/it.

I’m late to the party but wanted to say thank you for the video. I carry whenever and wherever legal…. and while at home. I have a membership with a local range that also offers classes that also cover the legalities for carry and use of a firearm in the state I live in. The very first time I’d come across anything related to Clint Smith was an article in a gun magazine. At the time (21years ago) I was looking for a holster for my first pistol. In the article I read and have carried a quote from him. “Carrying concealed is meant to be comforting, not comfortable.” Thank you both for all that you do.

Went in the Army, Raised 3 men myself, and I know I did good, but I wish I could have some modern training for a disabled person like myself. It is different when your disabled. Things have also changed in the last 16 years.

Very practical way of thought on primary functions, life happens good and bad, the real danger is a lack of awareness. The difficulties ahead must be dealt with intelligently because it will be in short supply, your future as well as others may depend on your clarity and focus both of which develop through training.

Thank you, Clint. Thank you for all of the knowledge you have passed on to us. You are one of a kind, a living legend reminding me of Davey Crockett and Daniel Boone. And trying to be respectful, Heidi is super hot!
