I have it and it's one of the best guitars i've ever played

i really can't think of 1 bad PRS I've played. they're just fantastic.

2 years update. Well, I ended up liking that guitar so much, that I bought one like a week after my original comment. I changed it a bit tho. I replaced the black pickup rings for some cream ones (to give it that classic PRS look) and changed the pickups for the EMG Het Set and OMG, what a guitar. Man, that PRS is like a third of the price of my Gibsons, but it sounds so damn good, and it feels like quality. Don't let the word "affordable" make you think that the SE series are cheap guitars, because they are just amazing tools at low prices. I love it.

I've played and owned a lot of signature artist guitars through the years. THIS one is INSANE! My favorite PRS guitar IMO (aside from a PRS S2). Built like a tank with great weight relief. Pickups and neck binding are at a USA Maryland level. Stop tail bridge is also epic. Great guitar. Highly recommended.

Agreed. I can't remember any other artist getting a different horn shape like that -- not to mention the multi-ply binding...

I haven't seen one in person, but an image search shows it clearly. It's flattened on the end of the upper horn...

Hey all! I have this guitar and use it in a Jimmy Eat World cover here kzread.info/dash/bejne/d2tsyLSzqJyygKg.html Happy to answer any questions about it! I really enjoy it, plenty of tone options and the longer scale length makes it more ideal for lower tunings.

It's not a different horn shape. It's just using multi-ply binding that is exposed on the top and sides, as opposed to the usual reveal binding that is really only visible on the sides of the guitar... :)

They've been popping up on ebay sparingly for the past month or so, there's a seller now who has 3 of them, 2 are already sold, so you best jump on it asap because they aren't available otherwise as of right now.

Dear PRS company, I have already noticed from the video that this guitar is very good for hard rock kind of things which i do, BUT will it stay in tune if i tune it to D# ? I generally prefer D# tuning that's why I am asking.

It has flat binding, but the horn is still the same shape.

Yeah, that's because there's a huge, flat chunk-o-binding. The horn shapes are normal, they just look different because of the increased neck/scale length.

Any time you change the string gauge on your guitar it needs to be professionally set up for that gauge, especially going down to an extremely light gauge like that.

It’s crazy how long the guy from Chevelle played PRSs and they never would gave him a signature model. So after asking for years he changed to Fender guitars. I just find it weird because Chevelle is just as big as Se7endust, and you would think that that would be good marketing for PRS. They even even gave the guy from Staind a signature model, and he already had a signature Ibanez for years. But no telling what goes on behind the scenes.

No, that's much to high for what this guitar is set up for. It's shipped specifically set up for Drop B tuning, tuning it any higher than that would cause too much tension in the strings. You'd have to get the guitar re-adjusted with smaller string gauges, the nut may have to be replaced for one that'll suite smaller strings, the intonation would have to be adjusted, etc. It's not worth it imo if you plan on tuning it that high.

Start the video and then pause it once the guitar comes on the screen. It looks to me like both horns have a flat spot on them...

Please dont take this as an insult but have you had a brain injury? the tip of the horn is different, it is flattened on the Lowrey model...that means it is different.
