If Anderson was as nervous directing Hackman as he is here sitting next to Eastwood, that’s a shame because he is a unique & very talented guy. I love how Eastwood kindly explained that Hackman gets rubbed the wrong way by indecisiveness & doesn’t want to have you experiment on his time.

Eastwood and Hackman were born the same year. I’m thinking Anderson had trouble relating possibly due to a generation gap. And to be honest, I’m not sure if that’s something that he’s considered. At least it doesn’t seem so.
