Great video, learned a lot from it. Have the same problem of over rolling on 4-2. How would you manage the the 4-2 roll from this game if you aren't in a resource portal, but are pretty strong. I keep finding myself having to roll heavy on 4-2 through 4-5 because if I go straight to 9 or under roll it feels like most of the 4 cost pool is exhausted by 5-1 and hitting a 2*5 cost on level 9 feels unreliable. What's the decision tree there if your line is uncontested; contested by 1; contested by 2? Or are you always just pivoting from an ultra contested line even if your spot is very good for it.

if you have enough tempo to go to 9 and roll properly, then you play for 5cost and disown 4cost. You can level on 4-2, stabalize and sac two rounds, meaning you decide whether you can go 9 on 4-5 or if you should resend it since your board isn't as stable. You sac to build interest. You don't just pivot randomly. You pivot when you literally have to and the game doesnt give you the units, even if you're contested lol, you don't decide whether you pivot or not, the game does. You can be super contested and hit due to luck. You pivot when there's insufficient resources and you can't hit your suggested comp so you're forced to play something else like lillia over syndra. If you've econ correctly, you should always be able to 4-2 it with enough gold. I'm grandmasters and I'm still mastering this skill, takes a bit of practice but you need to know when and when not to level (this costs gold and can grief econ), when to make money and when/how to streak. Then from there, since you've rolled and hit some pairs or units because you have enough gold, you should be able to sac till 4-5 and make a decision to go 9 on 5-2 or roll again since you're weak and you don't want to lose hp. Roll = stabalize = strong enough to streak and build momentum = fast 9.

Worth considering asking more questions. You're providing tons of information, but less identifying flaws in thinking/fundamentals. E.g overencumbered, logic wise you know you'll get lots of items so it's value is reduced, but does this guy check stats? This might have informed him that it's so good he should take it anyway. But we don't even know why rolled

I watched a vid he did with a plat, i got out of plat. Saw a vid a week later with a emerald player, now im E1 /D4. Im hoping this pattern continues after this

Great video, watched it all the way to the end. I'm currently Emerald IV trying to get to Diamond I/Masters and I'm wondering what your approach is to deciding what comp to play. Do you contest S tier comps even if you have a suboptimal set up (augments, items, champions) for them? Or in those cases, do you decide to go for an A tier comp instead because it will be less contested?

You decide what comp you want to play based on your items and what other people are playing. Your augments could also be a dictator of what you’re playing but it’s a small factor. If you want to play Ashe and someone else is playing it and you already have the setup, you can still roll down and hit ashe. If you don’t hit ashe due to it being out of the pool you just play something else that can be accepted with ur items. Don’t really worry too much about “S tier & A tier” comps brother. You should be trying to play whats good but at the end of the day its an RNG game and you wont always get what you want. Try to econ properly so you can roll more gold and be flexible. As long as you can make a strong board, you’re fine. You can win with a tier comps

@@krash6951 I have a hard time determining what others are going to play when scouting. My belief is that I should decide what comp to go relatively early, at Stage 3 let's say, and when I scout at that time it's not yet obvious what others are going to play. If I see that someone has AP items that will most likely limit them to an AP carry comp but I can't know which one, so in the end I end up deciding what comp to play only by what augments, items and champions I got and it doesn't always feel correct.

Im back n forth b/t E1/D4 and my “final board” probably often starts at 3-1, but can completely change by 4-1. Lets say i havnt gone to heavy in either augs or items. And i can play somewhat flexible. If i get 3 ashes, or 3 lee sins, or some good 5costs. Bam im switching so fast. Another part that helped me do that, is buying all great champs when hard rolling down. I get what i get, and sell what i dont like. So i dont pass up illias or 3 annies, or an azir. Maybe i get all that in one roll and say screw goin snipers.

awesome video. its funny to see "high rank" players overcook and basically throw or pass up on potential firsts because of reasons

yeah, I acctually had a really productive session with a a 1k lp player recently and he went on a run to 1500. I forgot to record that one tho ,but ill get him for another one soon :)
