I climbed Mount Fuji in June 1989. I was in the US Marines then. We had a few Marines get medals and a re-enlistment ceremony at the top. 🇺🇸

Mt Fuji in Sandals and No Breaks?! You’re A Legend! And you made it back down before noon! Man, I’m impressed. Mt Fuji is on my bucket list and all the other vids I’ve seen on it were of people who took group hiking packages where they slept on the top and hiked back the next morning

the day climb is better.....those tour packages in which you have to stay on a hut overnight are for typical tourists...... believe me, any physically fit individual can do it....most can even do the ascent in about four hours and the descent around two hours

Ok way back in 2019, I saw this series you did in Japan starting with this very video. I was in high school back then and this series really inspired me to travel to japan. All these years later i just spent 15 minutes searching for the video and your channel as it has been 5 years since i watched your stuff, as I am going to japan this year and wanted to go back to see where i got the japan travel bug from. Thanks for making this Gabriel.

Mount fuzi ,:- I'm highest mountain in Japan with 3600m altitude my village in 2100m altitude :- haha I'm just a village 😂

Congratulations. I made it to the 8th station lodge but could not go further due to headache and dizziness from the altitude. I live near sea level and could not hack it. But I admire people who can push on to the top.

I don't recall ever seeing a mt Fuji travel video although I'm certain they are out there. Once again you give us the best off the beaten path. Travel for the everyday joe. Keep up the good work.

I climbed Mt. Fuji in Summer 2019 with my family. It was quote an experience, but it was such an incredible experience!!

Just the other day, while watching you charging around Santorini on foot, I was about to comment on how insanely good your metabolism and fitness level must be, but then I remembered I already said that a couple of years ago commenting on another vid. Way to go, Gabe....:-)....this'll keep you young, i guarantee.....:-)

I was there in 2018 to run the Japan Marathon and we did a day trip to Fuji, sadly it wasn't climbing season. We only got to 2nd station as there was a bad snow storm the night before. But what an amazing experience!!

You did it! Congratulations. Although the track is not that adventurous as the Japanese seems to have made it too convenient for hikers, the view from the top is breathtaking. And that glasses on the signpost is some cool installation art.
