Climbing Crib Goch Snowdon Solo | Mental Health Awareness

Crib Goch is one of 8 routes up to the summit of Mount Snowdon, the highest peak in Wales at 1,085m. The route has been described as "one of the finest ridge walks in Britain", but it is not for the fainthearted.
In this video I take on Crib Goch for the first time, solo, in the cloud and mist. It was a challenging experience on more than one level as I fought to deal with my mental health on the way. But in truth, it was a groundbreaking experience. I had the skills and abilities to more than comfortably see myself over the ridge, and in the process, I learnt some powerful life lessons.
If you have been inspired to take on Crib Goch, please ensure you are adequately kitted out (and know how to use that gear), have previous experience on steep and rocky terrain, and checked the weather forecast before you go to ensure safe conditions.

We are in awe of your strength, resilience, determination and attitude. Well done. We are an older couple from Australia who have walked 10 of your national trails, and climbed all the 2,000 ft and above in England and Wales - except Pillar Rock in the Lake District. That was beyond me. We are homing in on 70 years old, so have to be careful. I hate that this Covid virus has stopped our annual travel to the UK and beyond - but we must all be patient. You have allowed us to walk and climb with you. Thank you so much. You are fast becoming a 'legend'. Love from D &D , Victoria, Australia XX

Thank you for a very entertaining and beautiful vlog. I was just browsing videos doing some research for my solo adventure this weekend, gaining some knowlodge of Crib Goch so i have at least an idea of what to expect and your video was just perfect. I thoroughly enjoyed it and it helped more than you know so thank you again.
