Cliffs of Stevns: Yellow Flower Fields and the Extinction of the Dinosaurs (Denmark)

Спорт

On this route, you ride through farmland full of fields with yellow flowers. The yellow flowers of the canola plant only bloom for a brief period during the spring. But the ride is more than pretty flowers. Along the coast, you pass the Cliffs of Stevns. This area is the best place in the world to see traces of the asteroid that killed the dinosaurs and more than half of all the species on Earth 66 million years ago. Here one can actually see the layer of material that harbors a record of the cloud of ash formed by the impact of the meteorite. It is this layer that has put the Cliffs of Stevns on UNESCO’s World Heritage list. Very few rides in the world offer to ride on top of such dramatic history. This area is popular with international touring cyclists as well as local cyclists.
In this ride-along video, you ride at the speed of a trained cyclist. If you want to ride at your own speed, please look below for how you can make that possible with our indoor cycling app Open Road.

Nice one. The more flat rides you create, the better for me as I struggle back to fitness after a summer battle with a campylobacter infection. Just about to give it a go on your app. 🙂

How do I get rid of the red status/time-line at the bottom of the screen. Sometimes it’s there, sometimes it’s notB but I’ve not figured out how to make it disappear at will. Thanks for any info.

Try putting your mouse arrow in the middle of the screen then quickly scrolling it off the bottom. The red line should disappear in 5-6 seconds.
