Santino loves to jump because he has only had pleasant associations with it. We have never chased or added pressure for him to go through the jump chute. Instead, we have made jumping a fun game for him.
At first, we started with simple rails on the ground and taught him to go to the person standing at the target at the end of the line. Eventually, you can see we removed the human and he finds the target on his own.
We also have placed a focus on clicking his best effort over the jump. You can see his form improves as he goes along. This was probably a total of five sessions from ground rails to jumping the big x or the oxer.
