    @@karom124well, you just do something productive. But dont fall into the trap of wasting time watching and reading stuff that you're not even putting to use lol. If you have an interest that's productive, go for it. Personally, i notice that even tho i dont game as much as I used to, now im just wasting time watching and reading stuff about things i already know. 😅. So still working on it. But trying to learn how to code

  • @nunodfes2

    @nunodfes2

    @@karom124 you can for example go for long walks and try to interact with people everytime there is a good chance for it. There are so many interesting people out there from who we can learn things and even become friends with. You can also spend much time improving skills that can make you a more interesting person. Simple things like cook something every day, start a chat with someone you havent spoke with in quite some time, cleaning the house, learn a language, practice a new sport or activity, etc. There just an endless leck of options when you start really digging into it. And even tho those things might not satisfy you as much as gaming in the beggining, if you stay disciplined into it for long enough, your body starts to low its craving for dopamine like it had before and/or starts to slowly produce more dopamine on your new activities, specially as you start getting better at them... Just dont fall in the temptation of the internet/entertainment. Its hard but doable. Lets be the best version of ourselves. Stay disciplined

    The problem with playing sometimes is that is the craving that persists. If you are trying to time your video games, you always have a hard time not playing. if it is an option then we always want more and there is never an end to it. It would be best to just get rid of it and forget all about it and convince outselve that it isn't an option anymore

VR is actually making gaming less addictive because you have to move your body to play the games. think about how it's harder to think when you're standing or how sports are fun but not nearly as addicting as video games. that's how VR is making gaming way less addicting.

    Bro, why does this feel like ur telling us our life story about how u literally quit playing video games, but some people just do not care. Playing video games can help people get a LOT of money bruv. And plus, playing video games is just a hobby. It does not disrupt your life. Infact, I have a 3.8 -> 4.0 GPA in school, and I mostly study and play video games. Think before you make a video. Ur just asking for a verbal roast session. So i was quitting a mobile game at the start of 2023, but then i play it again in July, i binged so hard 6 hours non stop. Then i quit again 2 days later with a huge guilt. But then 3 weeks ago, i played some more, binged again, 2 days later quit, and a week later, i reinstalled, and play until today. The problem is once i play, i just won't stop playing. I be like, "just a round, nothing more" and it cost me 4 hours. Someone please give me an advise. Do i really need to quit for 1 year? 2? Or how. Because my friends who play the game everyday, they just don't have what I through.

Tbh I think games are like drugs and today people are selling them as people sold cigarettes in the past. Although cigarettes are bad for the body and games go far beyond that... It's been less than 30 years we have games so intricate to human life, anyone saying its not a big deal to human mental health has no idea of what they are talking about, let alone if he/her is an addict or sell it for a living. I wish I could go back in time to never touch games again.

All those videos actually destroyed a great part of my joy of the recent return as I am torn apart... My only regret was watching one of the videos about how gaming is bad... Now I am checking them occasionally to see and compare to my own experiment I have conducted on myself. Maybe it's too late because I have been gaming my whole childhood and teens. Lots of truth in those videos but also some BS as well... I also hate that fcking propaganda. Neuropsychologist here, saying that everything in excess will do something bad to your body. Games are addictive? Yes. It is dangerous? Depends on it. It is a Psychological addiction, for people that are pre-disposed with any type of addiction in general. It is Hereditary. Stop listening people who says that games aren't good for you brain. Games actually are a form of therapy, for those who are neurodivergent. Plus, the fact that games help you improve your reflexes, and enhances your time of induction, logic, rationality, etc. Games arent bad, you just need to watch your behaviours, so you don't go over the limit of a healthy player.

    @@RubberTag If you know, that you have a family history about addiction, then you can probably knew that you have predisposition. So...if you know about this... The obvious thing to do in this place is, manage your behaviours. This is a Psychological addiction. Not a chemical addiction, like heroin, coke or any other drug that can cause serious abstinence. So, as i said: Watch your behaviours, think, and see if if you can bare with discipline. Impose yourself, and manage on how to learn to play without getting addicted. If you can't, avoid, and don't play.

    @@RubberTag Yeah, that's the issue. And yes, this type of urge, you can control it. You can fight for it. If you realize that you are reaching the point of addiction, do what is necessary. Mentally detoxify yourself by looking for hobbies that occupy your mind and defocus it with something useful. Read books, do exercises, the only one who can take this thing out of you is the same person who put it in you.

Fair enough, I am bias as I get my income from games and it's an industry I'm passionate about so it is quite strange to see a channel like this.
