Just finished watching the ride and congrats especially in the very hilly section, good advice to have done the ride at your own pace.May I suggest that if you want to do long rides have a look at Audax riding,they have various distances and in some rides will provide food and drinks.I think your mate Hugo would enjoy the challenge of the rides they organize
