The Miami player running with his guy that fumbled in the end zone was huge. He was able to fall on the ball and get the TD. Details matter. Hustling to the ball matters. Coaches must coach that. That can be the difference between winning and losing. Big play.

Very easily a safety. The ball was in end zone before the QB was even touched. Fuck kind of imaginary forward progress did they give him? The whole point of forward progress is so defense doesn’t pick up the offensive player and drag him for negative 20 yards before letting his knees hit the ground to be down. When a player runs backwards on his own, there’s no forward progress unless you fight back for some gains. He went to the end zone on his own and never made it out. That was a very obvious safety. If you look at compilation of blown calls, Clemson is always on the receiving end of favorable calls. I’m sick of it.

@@wladmuir no. it does not. not in this instance. was sacked with his feet outside of the endzone, and landed in the endzone. now if he was in the endzone when he was sacked / tackled, then it would have been a safety, depending where the ball was marked. in the endzone, is where the ball comes into play

When the calls don't go their way, every fan base thinks the refs hate them While Miami used to be the elite of elite, ya'll went through a time when they played really dirty. While this game could have gone either way last night, ya'll beat us fair and square and there was no dirty playing. Your current coach seems to be building a good program at The U. Clemson on the other hand, we've got some things to work through because the fanbase thought every 5'9" white kid was gonna be like Hunter Renfrow so Dabo started giving out all these offers to those guys and it brought the elite play of this program down. Not sure if we can get back but the recruiting does look better now so we may be back but that's hard to do in Power 5

Great game by both teams, that was a crazy amount of talent and speed from both sides.

That was a safety.

Great comeback win by the Canes. But Jake Briningstool is a cheat code at TE.

How was that not a safety?? If Klubnik escapes or the defender doesn't make the tackle, that would have been a live ball and Klubnik would have been able to run/advance the ball. How can you even call that "forward progress"!! Klubnick never ran forward - He was running backwards trying to avoid the tackler That's about as bad a call as you will ever see!!

If u chose to run backwards, u don't get forward progress. That could've really changed the game, Refs gotta be better

Klubnik becomes a runner that gets tackled while the whole ball is in the endzone when his knee touches down = Safety!! PERIOD!! If Klubnik escapes that tackle he would have been able to advance the ball. SAFETY!!

Swinney has had the luxury of having the coaching consistency during their national championship runs. Now, as with most successful programs, coordinators leave to take on HC positions themselves and the continuity has been broken and it appears that Dabo is struggling to find his feet again. He also better wake up and start taking advantage of the transfer portal and NIL too. Miami has completely transformed in the spam of 1 year due to the transfer portal and they have significantly upgraded their talent.

Very frustrating loss for Clemson. They had the chance get the touchdown in beginning but they fumbled it. Instead of Clemson getting a touchdown, Miami did. Clemson has to fix these turnovers if they want to win these type of games.
