Haley great video. When it comes to picking your dorm....is it first come first service in regards to when you committed to Clemson?

@Rea Val Thank you! As far as, housing it all depends on when you applied to the university. For example, if you applied on August 1st you would have a better housing time slot than someone who applied on October 20th, if that makes sense. The same applies for your roommate, so whoever has the earlier time slot will get to select the room. Let me know if you have any more questions about housing. :)

Hi .. I'm a new subscriber ... And I'm going to college in the next few years and I have just been wanting to see what colleges I would love to apply for when I graduate HS ... Idk if you already did this but I was wondering if you could consider making a video of your experience as a black female at Clemson .. because I have been doing alot of research on different colleges and I came across a video about Clemson being a PWI and having lots of racist problems ... So could you consider making a video on your experience....🙂

I haven’t done a video solely on my experience as a Black Female at Clemson, but I address this question in another comment. Basically, I haven’t experienced any racism during my time at Clemson. Instead, I just had to navigate being the only (or one of the only) POC in many of my Business courses. While my experience has been this way, I am aware that sometimes my social and political views may differ from what’s popular in the surrounding area. As well as, that my experience might be differ than other POC attending the University. Great Question, thanks for asking! Best of luck on your college search! 😊

I would say “loosely”, the level at which this policy is enforced depends on the RA (resident assistant). Great question, thank you for asking! :)

Hi @Julianne Mais-Cox, I suggest Gressette, the Shoeboxes, or Holmes/McCabe. They are close to the athletic facilities (intermural fields, Fike, etc.) and the (better 😉) dining hall. I hope this helps :)

Thanks so much for this. This is helpful. What do you think about Lever Hall? I was reading that first year engineering students may reside there? Is that close to the dining, sports facilities etc as well?

Lever is great! I had a few engineering and biological sciences friends stay there who were a part of the living and learning community (RISE - Residents in Science and Engineering). While it’s on the opposite side of campus from the athletic facilities, the academic and social support system seemed beneficial, especially given that most students are taking the same classes. The other major dining hall, Schilletter, is just a few steps away.
