The Florida State Seminoles beat the Clemson Tigers in OT on September 23rd, 2023, 31-24 at Clemson Memorial Stadium in Clemson, South Carolina. This is my POV of the game, from the stands.
Frank Howard Field at Clemson Memorial Stadium, known as "Death Valley", is home to the Clemson Tigers, an NCAA Division I FBS football team located in Clemson, South Carolina. Built in 1941-1942, the stadium has seen expansions throughout the years with the most recent being the WestZone with Phase 1 construction beginning in 2004 and completing in 2015 with the addition of the Oculus, the final piece of Phase 3. Phase 1 of the EastZone project began in 2020.
Prior to the completion of Bank of America Stadium, in Charlotte, Memorial Stadium served as the home venue for the National Football League (NFL)'s Carolina Panthers during the team's inaugural 1995 season.
Currently, the stadium is the largest in the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
The Clemson-Florida State football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Clemson Tigers football team of Clemson University and Florida State Seminoles football team of Florida State University. The schools have played each other annually since 1992. Both universities are members of the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), and since the ACC initiated divisional play in 2005, both teams have competed in the ACC's Atlantic Division. For several years in the late 1990s and early 2000s, the matchup was known alternatively as the Bowden Bowl for the father, former head coach Bobby Bowden of the Seminoles, and the son, Tommy Bowden, formerly head coach of the Tigers.
Similar to a period in the late 1980s, the now annual football game has recently seen a resurgence with national implications as both programs have returned to the national spotlight. Since Clemson’s current head coach Dabo Swinney arrived on campus in 2003 as an assistant, the Tigers have won 13 of the last 19 games in this series. In 2016, CBS Sports named the Clemson-Florida State matchup as "the best annual game in college football", stating "Clemson-Florida State has supplanted Alabama-LSU as the one annual game you can bank on needing to watch to figure out the postseason." Both programs have accounted for over 30 ACC titles, and have represented the conference consistently in the post season since 2011.
Florida State currently leads the series 21-15-0, with a one game win streak.

I believe you’d be correct on that! Originally with our home slate o wasn’t planning on going down to Doak, but if Miami continues to trend where they are, I may make a trip down there!

Was getting annoyed with the amount of jumpballs we were going for, they weren’t working much at all. Luckily it worked when it counted. Hopefully we get a little more creative like the LSU game!

Unfortunately not, but did get the very end of the play when they were running into the end zone at 10:43. Sucks, but had to be selective about filming as the sun was killing the battery, it was a hot one on the FSU side.

Definitely harder to be as loud as it usually is when its a noon game. You'll have to come back when we have a big time night game!

It finally worked🤣 was getting annoyed that we kept on force feeding our WRs with the same play that hardly worked all day. Glad they finally found the matchup against the backup DB!

After watching this video, I don’t see how they put Clemson on the list of best college football entrances. This is probably my first video I’ve seen with it from the stands and it looks extremely anticlimactic.

I think it would be much cooler at night, with the LED lights, and actually being able to see the fireworks. They stopped releasing the balloons a few years back for environmental reasons, and that also makes it look less impressive than it used to.

the lack of penalties was bad. im sure there were missed ones on clemson but you fsu fans do realize faking an injury to stop clock is a flag and fsu faked 3 injuries and got 0 flags. and its when we have momentum but still an amazing game. imagine if he made the last fg😭😭

I can agree that ACC officiating is by far the worst of the P5. I think both sides got hosed many times, so at least it was bad both ways.

@@FAN_addicts yes acc officiating may be one of the worst. it's really bad, i'm pretty sure it doesnt help that fsu and clemson are trying to leave the conference either. but hopefully when we're out of the acc the officiating is alot better.

@@brandonc9706 i guess you didn't watch buddy. 3 fake injuries happened during the 4th i was there for the whole thing. when i guy jist randomly falls while everyone is just standing around and is perfectly fine after they fall its clearly fake and it's a flag idk what the flag is called but if youre faking it's a flag. so thats 3 clearly missed flags.

If you go back and watch the entire game, there were plenty of plays that Clemson didn't get flagged that were important. Holding on the long pass to brown on your first TD drive, preceded by an offensive pass interference, as well as a lack of holding on our final pass to Coleman when Wiggins got hurt. There are missed calls during games, but there were egregious ones that we didn't get called against you as well. We didn't play all that great, and your team did, and we still won in your house.
