Clearing Storm - Plettenberg Bay
Anyone who has ever been to Plettenberg Bay knows that this is a remarkable place. Miles of perfect beaches surrounded by mountains. Hundreds of dolphins call this home. For photographers this is a paradise, because the light is always changing. If it looks like a dull day, just wait a few hours. This particular day started off rainy, and then the storm cleared, leaving behind perfect clouds to catch the light of the sun as it set.
I filmed this back in December 2019 before Covid struck. I found the footage again this past weekend and decided to finish editing it. The haunting music from Goldfish is the key that holds this whole piece together. They had just played a New Years Eve concert in Plettenberg Bay, and I fell in love with this particular song: 'Moonwalk Away'.

Dom - this track is so unbelievably great! I am humbled when I think of how two creative minds can stumble on something like this, and then execute it so perfectly. You and David have remarkable talent. I hope we may have a chance to meet at some point in the future. Like you, I now live in the USA (Boston area). If you ever head back to SA and feel like visiting Plett, let me know, as it would be my pleasure to have you stay in our house there.

Wow amazing skills, how did you convert the SDR drone footage into HDR?
Beautiful... So nice to see the sun set in Plett filmed... rather than a whole video showing the sunrise... I know you still had sunrise in there but often people miss the incredible colours of that sunset in Plett great choice in music too... BTW you dont happen to know where the Goldfish boys were born? I know the band was formed in Cape Town but were they born there too? Cheers

Thank you! I don't know where the Goldfish boys were born. I did hear from them that they spent a lot of their youth in Plett, but that was likely holidays.
