I found a paper clip on the ground and stuck it in the antenna hole of my tv and I get all the local channels in my area.

Your remote controls the TV not the antenna. Never owned a TV before?

All i can get to scan are the channel 2's.....cant fine tune over "air" and nothing comes in over "cable".....any suggestions?

@@SmittysWorld I live 50-55 mi away from all but one of the required stations. Thanks for your help. I plan to get a high end amplifier and see if that will help me. I get all of those stations* and few others right now, but they go out at times during the day(most stations go out when the weather heats up or in the daytime)..Thank you, though. Since I am invested in the best non-traditional-roof antenna that you can buy(CS 4V) that I bought some months ago, I'll probably just update the amplifier(out of the 2-3 adv amp options) and hope that works out! If it doesn't, I'll probably check with the antenna man to get a recommendation before buying a traditional outdoor antenna... *When I say stations, I mean a network of channels. Ex. 2.1-2.5 would be one station.
