Trigger Squeak? Analog drifting? You can probably clean those right up with Electronic Contact Cleaner such as this!

If you cannot find it at Amazon, try Wal-mart Online: www.walmart.com/ip/WD-40-Spec...
NOTE: This is not WD40 - the lubricant. This is a totally different product that is designed for electronics. DO NOT USE OIL BASED LUBRICANTS IN ELECTRONICS. Thank you.
I'll show you how. This works with Xbox controllers, Switch controllers ... great stuff to have around the house.

    Amazing! My left controller was drifting so bad, and not gonna lie, thought this wasnt going to fix it, but I didnt have enough to get another controller, so thought it was worth a try for a cheap fix. It fixed it 100%. I will say though walmart and home depot were both out, and I got the last can at menards. Ordering online may be the best option

    Question: how would I insert the we-40 into the joystick? To get like in there, do I just have to grab the bottle and spray it on or do I have to press down on the joystick and a little opening will open and I spray it in.

  • @ThatGuy2040

    @ThatGuy2040

    @@nibblie so "we-50" I'm guessing you are referring to the electrical contact cleaner. It HAS to be that specific one. As far as putting it in, it comes with a nice little "straw" to get a more centralized spray. I just held the joystick in as I rotated it as well as the spray around the joystick, not only is it going to get into that small little crack because it's a liquid, but there is a bit of pressure behind it too. So yeah, just hold it in, dont be afraid to really SPRAY it too, mine was basically soaked (I dont know that you need that much). I took out the batteries prior to spraying it, and I gave it about 15 min before I put them back in to be safe. But i noticed the results instantly and havent had any problems since.

    Idk if this is considered drifting, but earlier today whenever I would push my left stick forward to move, the stick would move normally, but my character would have very stuttery movement. Like id pick up speed then when my character would randomly halt or start and stop rapidly as if they were stuttering. Any advice would be helpful

  • @yetson

    @yetson

    3 жыл бұрын

    The main ingredient in WD-40 is a light kerosene-like mineral oil, which is hydrocarbon based. Amorphous plastics and hydrocarbons don’t play well together: hydrocarbons will attack the chemical structure of amorphous plastics, breaking them down - essentially trying to “melt” them. They also leave behind an oil residue, you generally do not want an oily residue sitting on your circuit boards because it'll just attract more gamer gunk.
