Thanks for all your videos Stuart, I went out and purchased these products and they work great on my brand new Interceptor 650 Mark 2 as well as my other bikes as I prep one to be sold soon. As I am currently a paint sprayer in the automotive paint trade I would like to recommend a product to you and that being the Wurth Brake Cleaner Pump Sprayer which I fill with Silkolene Wash Off (Or Muc Off as I used to use) as it helps with the slightly tedious task of using a trigger spray bottle requiring popeye forearms. I also use and additional two of these sprayers for my panel wipe at work and brake cleaner at my garage as they are solvent friendly unlike the typical cheap garden sprayers. Hope this helps a bit.

Stuart, have you thought about purchasing one of the hot air bike dryers? Someone like you who keeps their bikes in such great condition will appreciate the usefulness of this piece of kit. It will blast out all the water that lurks in the crevices if the engine castings and frame parts. Final thing to add as the long term owner of Honda Goldwings, what is chain lube?? 😀

Hi Stuart thanks for another excellent video. Do you have any pointers on how to adjust the heavy/fine spray setting on the Silkolene wash off? I have some of this but it seems impossible to adjust. Both the 'on' settings just squirt out a thick jet of the stuff, which isn't very useful if you're going over the whole bike.

Hi Stewart - thanks for the videos. I've looked at this video and the video on getting your bike ready for winter (which i've left really late given it's now the end of January) - my question is - should I wash and use the Silkolene pro prep - and then go and apply the Tetroseal and Double TT? Or is the Pro Prep doing the same job as the winter versions? Thanks very much and keep up the great work.

I've been using it for years, on and off and noticed the 'dulling' effect before. I'm pretty sure that on the old containers, it advised not to leave on bike for more than 30 seconds!! Great review of the silkoline, I may switch to that👍

G’day Stuart, great video. How long does the Pro Prep last for on the engine before it evaporates/dissipates due to the heat of the engine? Is it a product that you would use once a week if you ride your bike daily? Cheers, and keep up the good work. 👍👍

  • @stuartfillingham

Hi Stuart, hope you're well sir! Interestingly, when I used the muc off spray on my black Bonneville engine casing, I left it a few minutes, but it dulled the paintwork and i had to use the gt 85 treatment to get it shiny again. Have you come across this before?

Hello All, I often get This Result in winter as I don't always have time to let the bike cool down properly first, due to time constraints, ie it's getting too dark to see and I'm frozen. GT85 seems to do the trick of getting rid of the white streaky discolouration. Not usually an issue in summer unless the Muck off is allowed to dry in the sun, respray to keep moist. Hope this is of some use. Cheers Keith

Hi Stuart, as you seem to be a Silkolene fan in oil use, I guess they make great stuff. I was given 5L of a Silkolene product called Fuchs Off, it is blue in colour and I think it's also an alternative to Muc Off which I currently use. Do you know anything about Fuchs Off re. chemical make up and safety on alloy please. Great channel BTW.

Well... Without braking the bank is not quiet reality. As i am an all season rider... these products, although they are very good products, after 8 months of usage the bill is up to 800 euro's, just for cleaning products So "show room condition" costs way to much money. You are talking 'bout the riding season...in that case ok, but i drive my bonneville no matter what , so it takes an extra financial effort. I am sure there is a cheaper way.
