Nice to see exterior cleaned! I liked to see the oil/pushrods/rocker covers cleaned. So many channels simply pour in ether and try to get it to start with no concern about consequences!

Thank you for saving so many cars from the scrap pile. We're killing out automotive history faster than we can remember. It takes a second to wreck it, it takes time to build.

wow.. those mice really tore up that engine bay.. make sure when u go to try to start it its 22 below zero with the car outside and dont forget to bring a junk battery ...lol great vid !!

Rollin', rollin', rollin'... Keep them Beetles rollin', raw tires! It's not rotten, it'll run if the cylinders free up! The car-wash vacuum suffers from long-hose syndrome, really reduces the effectiveness of the available suction.

That insulation that doesn't even fit in the vacuum, you should have just pulled it out by hand and thrown it in your own trash before going to the car wash. And as always, spray wax the underside at the self serve car wash, unless you plan to paint soon.

It's amazing what a difference washing can make. Even after working in the auo restoration business it still surprises me most times. It's shocking how many people would walk right past that Beetle and never give it a second glance other than to make sure they dont get too close and get themelves dirty, whereas after it is washed it would be amazing to see how many of those ame people would be plling out their wallets fast to try to buy it.

Sure glad we don't have mice problems where I live! Those rockers were nasty! Those ultrasonic cleaners are effective; might have to get my hands on one. B-code single ports are my favourite of them all. First car was a '70 Beetle, and still have a soft spot for them... Yours will live again...

That cobalt blue is such a cool color..another great vid👌

My grandfather used to buy, repair, and sell VW's out of his house. He loved the old engines. Very simple to fix and repair. He did hate the engines of the later years. He felt the emission controls were too complicated.

those emissions controls were all external, which is why most guys just removed them.

You can use a welder to refurbish your old batteries. Uncle Tony’s Garage shows how. He refurbished a battery that was sitting outside for five years. Worth trying because batteries are expensive

the car is busted its broken and old haven't got picked up a while i think its a race car the decals just fall of or a accident witch the owner died and his friend has to use his car

Here in Aridzona we have pack rats. They fill everything with cactus thorns so you don't dare touch anything with a pair of metal tongs. Pack rats seem to chew up wiring a lot more than the mice you seem to have.

I guess encased in dirt acted as a preservative to the Barn-Dub's undercarriage Jason. I'm liking what I'm seeing so far, that color looks great. I know I'm waiting for the next episode to resurrect this car. "This vacuum sucks!" Well, that's what it's supposed to do guys!

That color makes it really elegant

Jason, you sure are Pushy Buddy :)> When you had finished extracting the VW from its Icy Tomb I couldn't help it. I firmly pressed the easy button, "That was Easy!" (what a lot of hard work!!!) If the vacuum could have sucked just a little more It would have been great. You could have caught the little mouses butt in the vacuum nozzle and then showed a close-up of it trying to exact its vengeance upon you and Dubworks for evicting it! What High Drama that would have been! A viral mouse =a viral video. Brouhaha-ha Thanks for another great video. John here, from the back-roads of Northeastern Tennessee.

That forecourt vacuum was pants . But the old Vee dub is brilliantly preserved , what a great find .

One thing I love about Volkswagen people: whenever something goes wrong, whether it be an engine fire, an unexpected rusted out floorpan, or a vacuum machine that sucks up their money just to tell them it's out of order, their first reaction is always to laugh.
