TFS!☺ I started watching Minimalistic videos and it helped me eliminate a lot of plastic and unnecessary dishware. You'll be amazed at how less overwhelmed you'll feel, with more space.

This was also my thought...the kitchen is plenty big. Just too much stuff. If you have stuff in your house (i.e tupperware and dishes) that you don't even like, just get rid of it! Replace it with something you like (and fewer items). Instead of 100 flimsy plastic containers, maybe you could do with 10 glass pyrex containers with good lids. You don't have to be a minimalist - but I have a feeling you're living with more stuff than you actually want or need.

Here's a tip, since you do not have a dishwasher, you dirty a dish...clean it immediately. Clean your pots, and pans immediately after you are done using them. Keep in mind, while the fry pan is still hot, it is easier to clean.

You really need to declutter. It would be so much easier on you. Have way too much stuff and not enough space. Not judging, just being real. Best of luck.

Totally agree. Getting rid of at least half of all of that junk would be so much easier to maintain. The more dishes you have, the more dishes you are going to have to wash and store. Get rid of any small appliances you don't use/need as well. I was overwhelmed just looking at all of that junk stacked around, so I know that there is no way I would be able to stand that mess.

It's not just you, matching pieces look better all together on the the shelf. Arranging them like you do gives a sense of control over a small area and is visually pleasurable. It will be easier for you, and mentally soothing, to set yourself a color scheme and go for it. I have very little extra money myself, so I can't afford to go to Home Goods and places like that, but I find that if I only buy things (like at Goodwill even) that go with my color scheme, I am much happier. After all, these are your work tools. I also find color coordinated things at Dollar Tree and the 99 cent store, if those are in your area. You are doing a great job. I never thought of organizing Tupperware like you do. It's a great idea. Thanks for the video.

I think we are all guilty of doing this having more than what we need. Maybe eliminate things like only have a certain amount of cups, dishes, flatware, storage containers and don't buy anything else until you've broken something or it's worn out. Too much clutter can be overwhelming and make your tasks harder I know this from experience.

The more you have the worse it gets..if you have 50 Tupperware pieces then you’ll put off cleaning out the fridge if you have more handy..if you have less you’re forced to clean them faster...my brother only keeps 2 of everything plates cups silverware etc so it never reached the point of overwhelming and storage is simple..most people can get rid of half their stuff...I live alone and realized I have a favorite cup that I re-wash and 20 just sitting there taking up space! Crazy!!

Girl, you need to de clutter! You will have so much more space and so many less dishes to clean if you do! They can’t pile up if you limit how many you have. My rule is only enough plates, bowls and cups for each person in the family, plus 2 for extra guests. So my family of 4 only has 6 plates, 6 bowls and 6 cups. Makes my life so much easier! Same with Tupperware, only enough for what you need for a day of lunches and maybe 2 days of leftovers. If you haven’t used something in 6 months to 1 year, get rid of it. It will take so much weight off your shoulders.🙂

When you have a lot of dishes like that,it helps to wash them in batches and put away, dry as you go. It's a good idea that you're trying to get your kitchen in order. You will feel so much better afterwards! Sis I'm sure it would help tremendously to purge unnecessary items. You will free up a lot of space! Btw, wiping down your sink before doing dishes is not weird at all,I do it all the time.Tfs ❤

I must be unusual but I love looking at people's kitchens especially people that cook. What is that big round black appliance? Is it a flatbread maker or crepe maker? I actually despise minimalist kitchens. It is rare that a chef actually has one. The kitchen found on Apartment Therapy are so interesting and rarely minimalist. Wish I could buy you a small portable dishwasher like I used to use.

I am downsizing and although many of the things you do, I also already do. However, you gave me plenty of ideas on utilizing open chrome shelving and dealing with little cabnet space. I like the Bar behind the sink with the items hanging there and I have placed a tention shower rod between my cabinets 2 with decretive shower hooks to hang things fromand out of the way. Also it is my oppinion the cleaning of the sinks is not weird... Its a must. Thx for sharing the messyness... it helped motivate me in ways to work around my new tiny kitchen. You need not purge your things however. your life is your own and if you use it in your lifestyle keep the organizing up. The rinced dirty stacked dishesto the side when they cant be washed is a good idea tho. I do that too. Bless you Peace.

How many people in your family? Do you need all of that stuff? Also, I always start my dishwater in the right-hand sink - funny, huh? Interesting how we do things! It makes it harder to find the motivation when you just cleaned the entire house and nobody respects and appreciates your hard work. I really hope that you don't stress too much because it's bad for the baby. I know that it will get better for you. I don't know you but I know it will. I am here if you need to just talk.

Way too much stuff to deal with 1 plate 1 bowl 1glass 1cup per person plus 2 more for back up or company. Why all that cleaner, dish detergent, pump dish detergent, hand soap, and 2 kinds of spray cleaner I use dish detergent for all those cleaning jobs.limiting the number of dishes is good it forces you to keep up the dishes.

Buenas noches.

Small kitchen and way too much stuff. I'm assuming there are only two of you so why do you have so much. How many bowls can two people use. If I was you, I'd pack up a lot of that stuff and put it away in storage. Maybe one day you will get a place that has a larger kitchen. Most of your dishes are not getting used and are collecting dust. And the Tupperware......OMG what can I say. I live with my son so there are two of us and I have 4 bowls, large plates, salad plates, glasses. We have Tupperware but just enough for our limited needs. My suggestion to create a neater, uncongested looking kitchen is to get rid of some stuff. You kitchen the way you have it now is always going to look junky no matter how much sorting and rearranging you do.

Charlene Brissette Here's the proper way to write. " It's just a comment, It wasn't meant to be rude." Telling someone that there house has to much stuff in it and that you wouldn't go in it. umm yes it Is rude.. So you telling me to stop being so sensitive doesn't make any sense, your ignorant. Done nothing more to say... ✌

I didn't see any cabinets either.:( I know many older homes don't have many cabinets. My Mom bought an older years years ago and had to have someone come in and install some cabinets she got at a supply store, much cheaper.I'd love to see the house now as she sold it a few years before she died.

I have a ginormous kitchen. Literally the biggest room in my house. This is exactly what I see mentally when I walk in my kitchen if I have 3 dishes in the sink lol take me hours to clean a clean kitchen. Is it just me that looks at cleaning videos just to keep myself from feeling like I have the messiest area lol Edit ; I thought the channel was called the crammers like cramming items lmao what the. Def enjoyed the video thou. Something soothing about watching a speed cleaning vid.

If one has a lot of children it doesn't take long for the dishes to pile up. I have 5 kids, that's six plates, six forks, plus the pots and pans and utensils. If my husband is on home time that's 7 plates. The point is not how it got that way the point is she cleaned it up. Take a positive away and have empathy. I don't have a dishwasher. I am the dishwasher. I have cracked and dry hands from the hot water.

You really need kitchen cabinets to help with all the stuff. Otherwise it just appears amazingly cluttered, therefore it will never seem tidy. You have to de-clutter! Also, next time you video, try not to zoom in so much. It's hard for the viewer to get a sense of it all.
