Not a professional but an idea to keep your bathroom counter organized. Put all of your daily use products into a storage container and make room for it in the top drawer. Pull the whole container out when getting ready and put it right back when you’re done! Good luck!😊

this is what I do! and I take out and use one product at a time. when it's time for the next one, I put back the one I just used. this makes it more manageable since you don't have to put away a billion products at once and it gives your product some time to sink in

I agree with this- the key is that it fits in a drawer or under the sink . I tried a basket then a carousel type caddie but they just looked messy/ full and on the counter all the time. Now I have a tray/basket that fits on my cupboard under the counter!

I’ll vouch for this idea too! Find one with a handle… like a cleaning caddy.. or check the kids stationary section for a lower profile crayon/marker bin

I have done this for years! And I even use a makeup bag to hold it all (one of those reusable mesh style ones…I’ve used it for years and powder just falls out so o seldom have to clean it). Anyway. It makes packing makeup so quick and easy. Literally zip up the bag and toss it into the suitcase.

Little organization tip from me to you, when you fold a set of sheets, store them inside one of the pillow cases so the whole set stays together.

On the shoes, tip to get you wearing the shiny new ones sooner - if you don't already, try having two pairs going at once and alternate between them. They will both last longer as the foam has a chance to 'bounce back' in between wears, rather than being continually recompressed.

LIFE HACK for cold sleeping!!! Lay on top of a fuzzy blanket then cover with your regular sheet/comforter I grew up in an old farmhouse that wasn’t heated upstairs, fuzzy blanket is the way to go (throw blankets are perfect)

Traveling with kids is for sure 8x harder. I have 4 kids 3-14. We take them on as many trips as possible. When getting ready I often wonder if I'm insane.

The fact that you included a picture of HEB and Bluebell means you have your Texas priorities right 😂

We're from California, but my parents used to have a house in McAllen, so when we'd go for a month or 2, H•E•B was the place to go. And it seems like it was open at all hours too. Best grocery store ever! I've only found probably 1 or 2 maybe, here in California that compare. Glad you all had a fun time at the park. Come visit our Six Flags park called Magic Mountain too. It's right up your alley; deserty, yet mountainy, and so many hills you'll get all your excercise for the week done in 1 day. ;)

Get a tiered lazy Susan for your bathroom counter so you can neatly store your products on the counter.

I found a very nice, almost new, fluffy, velvety comforter at a thrift store for $15. It was very timely. It’s also like sleeping under a cloud.

For the bed: We also have a king bed but we use two Twin XL duvets with covers. This was everyone gets their own. So I can have a warmer duvet in my side cover, and my husband has one that's not as warm. It has changed our life!! Not joking.

For the bathroom counter, I bought a 2-Tier Rotating Basket from Costco and it cleared up and helped contain the cluttered chaos on my side of the counter wonderfully!

Wait. THATS what the things in a duvet are for?!?? I am shook. That’s the best thing everyone.

I have slot of skincare too so in my bathroom. I keep a little carry basket. I use wire mesh. Everything into the basket and store it under sink and pull it out for use each day. Multiple times a day! I got one that has a handle. Works like a charm!

Can't help with bathroom org, but as someone else with adult acne, I'd love to know what works for you. Then we can both have cluttered counters. :)

My husband and I had the same problem with sleeping. My solution was to buy twin size blankets and quilts. That way we can each use as many layers as we want with a queen size quilt to put over everything to make the bed. I love it.

I was looking for this comment. Highly recommend this approach. I think it's fairly standard in some parts of Europe, so look it up for options. I got a twin size duvet that I use in summer when my partner has just a sheet, and in winter I can add my twin over the king duvet for extra warmth for just me 😃

My husband and I use the same bottom sheet (King), but separate top sheets (twin) and separate blankets (twin), we take the king size bed spread off the bed during the night when we sleep. We are going on 20 yrs of marriage. We discovered in our first year of marriage that this is what we had to do to sleep well together. I'm always cold, he's always hot, plus we are cocoon sleepers and it just wasn't working. -Don't worry, it works well for us, we still cuddle and hold hands before we sleep, and other fun stuff. But we found what works for us! ☺️

Greetings from San Antonio. Hope you had fun here. My daughter works at SeaWorld 🌊. The Caverns are awesome as long as they aren’t flooded. The best thing about Houston is The Natural Science Museum, the worst is the traffic and flooding if it rains two drops.

I totally agree with a couple ppl, put your everyday items in a container on the counter or drawer!! My daughter’s an avid runner who goes through a pair of shoes every three months!! Her faves are also Brooks but the Adrenaline! Packing tip with multiple kids: create a standard list of what needs to be done & packed starting three days before leaving. This will have everything washed & packed the evening before you leave!! Then just pack everything in your vehicle the night before & it’ll be a calm morning or whatever time of day you leave!! This worked awesome when my three kids were still home!! I still do it for myself. I’m leaving this Thursday so I’m starting my list today!!

I use a hanging shoe organizer off of the bathroom door to organize my bathroom toiletries and it works perfectly!

Thanks for sharing your family trip. San Antonio is my old college town. Such a fun place with so many things to do: Six Flagg's, Spurs, the Riverwalk, the Missions, and the best breakfast tacos anywhere.

We went to San Antonio in Mar 2021 when our cruise was cancelled and did everything that you mentioned. We LOVED it! And we went to LegoLand in the mall by the Alamo. So much fun! Also, I start packing a week in advance for our trips or the week of if it's a weekend excursion. I usually pack 4-5 tees/tops, 3-4 bottoms, 2 pair of pj's, and socks & undies for each day for each person. I also pack a dress for myself, 2 if we have a dressy night planned, and a smart casual set for my son and hubby (as well as a pair of dress shoes each). Typically, I can fit all 3 of us in 2 carry-on size bags.

I think some other people will comment something similar, but a small basket/bin or tray that you can move around would be ideal. You can put it in the lower cabinet when your not using it or you can have a small tray & display your every day items. I use a small wicker basket on my bathroom counter & move the basket when I want to clean. The only downside is that it could become a catch all & you might not want that.

Get a container to coral countertop stuff. Game changer for me since I hate putting stuff away that I’m going to use later that day.

Another great video! About your bathroom, could you keep your skincare needs in a basket with a handle (kinda like the old school college shower caddy) and put that under your side of the sink? That way you can just grab the caddy, use, and return? Or maybe keep your products out on a nice tray between the two sinks? Those are the two things that come to my mind first.

Hi! Love your videos! I’m always so happy when I see a new video. My suggestion for the bathroom is to have a clear container for your stuff and a place under the counter to hide it away. Then depending on your mood, it can live on the counter or it can be put away in seconds in the cupboard. I have a heated mattress pad with the duel sides. Then my hubby and I can each choose to have heat or not. And I have extra blankets on my side.

Electric blanket with dual controls is the only answer. Just make sure u have the correct control in the right side of the bed. My mother was cold and kept turning up control...I was getting cooked!!!

I recently heard that it gets easier to organise things when you group them, e.g. on a tray or in a nice open box that you like. Maybe that helps. ♥️

Hi Christine I found a cool tip for organizing counter tops ,,use trays ,that way all the things are in one area and just move to clean I also use a wicker box with a flip lid on it for my hair things , looks tidy and wicker goes with every decor ,,, 😊😊

Hubby & I also share different opinions on temperature. We've resorted to separate blankets. We each have our own doona & access to a stack of blankets (mainly for me!) so we can both be comfortable. Had to get creative with making the bed but so much easier to sleep and no more fighting over the doona!

I keep Scentsy warmers in my bathrooms. When I know I will have company I turn the warmer on and leave it on. Keeps odors down and works as a night light for guests.

To keep your bathroom countertops clean I suggest putting all your products in a bin, with handles. And if you only use certain ones for am or pm then separate them and do the same. Then it’s easy grab and easy put away. Maybe like a small cleaning caddy so it’s got a nice handle on the top. I’ve actually done that while camping. I did cheap caddy’s to store all our bathroom needs. Then my husband and I just carried them to the camp showers with us. It made things so much easier.

We did our first plane trip ever with my 3 kids end of August...it went as perfectly as it could have gone logistics wise but definitely WAY more stressful than traveling alone. My youngest has severe food allergies also so that adds another layer of stress trying to plan food. We were sort of out your way. Utah and did Bear Lake for a couple days.

I would put the "daily" stuff in a basket that fits in that drawer...then take it out, use the stuff and then put basket back in drawer...works for my stuff...good luck!!

The way I keep my bathroom counter clean Is to use one of those carriers that people use for cleaning products. I loaded it up with my personal items and I sit it under the sink. Then each morning or night I just pull it out use what I need and put it back.

Husby and I are like y'all. He freezes and I am like a heater! So we have an electric mattress cover, just like a fitted sheet with separate controls. I rarely use mine... maybe a quick preheat in the middle of winter then I turn it off. He keeps his on all night year round. perfect!!

Suggestion for your bathroom situation: Put you face cleaners, etc. in some sort of waterproof basket that you can put in your cabinet and then take the whole thing out when you need to use stuff. Put it back in cabinet when finished. Basically, keep the stuff in the basket. As soon as you use some put the cleaner back into the basket. Good luck.
