Cleaning Culvert. Flood Around!

Cleaning the culvert to let the water flow. Trying to avoid water to flow over the road. Seems I opened it more than as it was. Also there are some footages around my location. You can see what flood we have nowadays.

Some culvert? Damn son that was one of the first videos I gave you grief on. Now,,,, back to your roots. Don't ever forget where you came from!!!!!! Old man telling you to do what you do for the love of doing it. Making money and trying to profit from your actions will fail miserably, prosper in the simple thing. This is, in my eyes one of the best videos this year. Keep it simple, keep it honest and you will prosper in the way God started your journey.

This was a different, but very interesting video! The drone footage of the flood was both awe inspiring and sad because of the powerful water. Like fire, water is both friend and foe. Thanks, too, for your enlightening comments! We’re never too old to learn 👍! Wishing your channel continued growth!!❤

I believe the word you were looking for was sewage plant or water treatment plant. Emergency measures like that are necessary but yes not nice indeed. Thank you for the update on the Culvert. It was the first video of yours I watched back in the beginning...lol They did a lovely job on the road, I remember how worn down it looked before. You said all you can do is... but that is more than a lot of people do and it has to help having those channels clear of the dams. Keep on keeping on. 👍👍👍👍

Clearing the culvert made a nice change from the big dams you have been working on recently. Amazing floods, always feel sorry for the people who are affected. Although I live close to the river my home is on a hill so I'm safe from flooding. I'm wondering if all that rain came from the same storm we had in the UK a week or so back. We've had some fairly heavy rain over the past few weeks but one month of rain overnight - wow that is a lot of water, not surprised to see all the flooding there. Stay safe Mantas, take extra care on flooded roads.

I think the word you were trying to think of is sewage. The sewage treatment plants are overcome by the amount of water they have to treat to be effective to filter contaminates and the excess has to be released directly to the river to prevent flooding in the mainland.

The word (nice word) for human waste is "sewage" or "excrement." I admire your improving English as my attempts at learning foreign languages have been pathetic. I wish that the owners of the land which you rescue would pay you for your efforts, but I grew up in rural areas (in Wales) and know how farmers do not like to part with money😂. What kind of drone do you have? I have a commercial drone pilot's license but haven't made use of it yet. Thanks, and keep up the awesome work.❤

The culvert is about the right size for dry weather it’d help if the road department put in a larger culvert. Probably won’t need it in dryer times. A farmer likes plenty of rain & sunshine if not to much, or to little, as long as it comes on days, he has chosen

We have 2 diffrent sewage systems. 1 from houses. The other 1 is for sky water. Because the 2nd system it is illegal to work on oil system when parked on the street. If the rainwater overwhelms the sewage system at least it doest enter the homes trough the toilet. Also rainwater is temporary stored in wadi's. Just low points created in parks and empty lots.

Here in Ottawa, Canada we used to have the same problem with sewage when we had extreme weather events. Here they also had to release sewage into the river until recently. Over the last decade they have built underground reservoirs all around the city to handle the excess. One of them was built under a half-sized soccer field in a well developed area, close to downtown. I feel really bad for those who have to leave their homes and those whose house is surrounded by water. Across the Ottawa River is an area of Hull, Quebec that floods about every 5 years. Both the Ottawa River and the Gatineau River overflowing causes this. The province has helped the homeowners time and time again. I don’t understand why they don’t build a dike around the area. Keep on making videos, please. And could you tell us what sort of project you would like to take on or direction you hope to take with your videos?

Thank you for this video. What you see is the same sort of thing we have had here in the UK and in many other countries. A month's worth of rain in a day. The drains and rivers can't cope. What you said about sewage discharge into rivers, same here. They definitely need to put more culverts across that forest track though! All the best to you and your family.

It's a problem when you have one combined system for both storm drains and sewage lines. It's generally just not worth the time and effort to build two separate systems.
