    we have been using for one year, no issues so far, it runs as smooth as it was on day 1. We use only touch-less hand gestures to operate it. Installation service was good from FABER. For chimney, FABER is one of best brands. Other brands that you can consider are - Kutchina, Elica, Glean, Hindware, Haffle etc. All chimneys come with same just 1 year warranty. There is no manufacturer who provide solid warranty like 2 to 5 years.

    Is this the 90cm model? How's the size measured? Diagonal or length-wise?

  • @CommonManLife

    @CommonManLife

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes, it's 90cm. Size is measured horizontally. The aperture that sucks fumes and the extension around it that blocks fumes scattering outside - combined measured as size. Usually a 2 burner gas stove is 75cm and 3 burner is 90cm+ (3 feet). This is the model we purchased, amzn.to/2JX6zAK

    The vertical height has no relation with size. Vertical height differs model to model. Lower the vertical height, better it is, because anyhow we have to install extension pipe for exhaust.

  • @CommonManLife

    @CommonManLife

    4 жыл бұрын

    We clean touch panel and curved glass every month. If we don't clean then it looks bad, messy. So this is the regular cleaning, for better looks, not for functionality. Then detachable metal mesh, detachable oil tray and inside shell - we clean every 3 months, and I feel it's absolutely sufficient to keep Chimney clean and well operational.

    Hii i am planning to buy this one but just had a conversation with the local service center guy he told me to go for baffle filter because the direct smoke will not hit the motor. In case of filter less i understand it will heat and clean itself automatically but the cleaning will not be proper in a longer Run according to him. So which model i should go for Crest 90(Filter less) or Primus plus 90 ??? Please suggest

  • @CommonManLife

    @CommonManLife

    3 жыл бұрын

    Sorry bro, don't have conclusive answer. All I can tell is, we have been using this for about 1.5 years. Absolutely no issues. Smoke deposits only when chimney is not running during cooking. If you ensure chimney runs while cooking then no issues, fumes will be sucked and thrown out. Baffle filter is also fine. Just little extra cleaning efforts, that's it. My understanding is, filterless chimneys are designed to avoid smoke deposit on motor. Motor is well designed and covered to avoid fumes entering inside.

    That's very strange. Usually when auto clean feature works for any device, be it AC, Chimney, Geyser, Washing machine - you hear enough noise of functioning going inside. In my case, chimney makes sufficient noise when run in auto clean mode. When auto clean feature is run after long time, say a month or two, then it extracts some oil from chimney and that gets deposited in detachable oil tray. If this is happening for you sometimes then feature is working, otherwise I doubt if it's working. You can call customer care to understand this problem. Sooner the better, usually these Chimneys have only 1 year warranty.

    @@CommonManLife Hey i am going to buy a chimney and i am stuck between Baffle filter vs Filterless. I understood that in Baffle filter we can clean ourselves but in filterless why do we need to call company people to dismantle it for cleaning it. Does the oily grease sticks in motor & duct inside the chimney thus making it greasy from inside (compared to non greasy from inside in baffle filter one). If yes then does it reduces the lifespan of the motor in filterless as it must be hindering in its operation if not cleaned regularly. In Nutshell Baffle filter requiring lesser money in maintainence because we don't need to call comapny people for dismantling for cleaning it on a regular interval ?

    That jali part in filterless is a plain metal jali, can be cleaned easily just like any other utensil. In case of baffle filter chimney, that jali has embedded baffle filter. Cleaning that is not that simple. You need special detergent, hot water, long dip time etc to clean, or change the baffle filter regularly.

    We clean that touch and sensor panel area with colin quite often. No issues. We can call them water resistant. But pouring too much water won't be a good idea.

    Which one is best Filter less or baffle filter

  • @CommonManLife

    @CommonManLife

    Filter less. When it comes to chimney.. maintenance is the biggest issue. Doesn't matter how much you spend initially, if its not maintained for 3+ months then it looks ugly and it's performance drops significantly. Filter less chimney reduce maintenance efforts lil bit and does the same job, which makes filter less a clear winner.

  • @anjusaha2210

    @anjusaha2210

    3 жыл бұрын

    Filterless is better. First of all, the cleaning effort is way less for the filter less version than the baffle one. Secondly, due to the large metal surface and lesser gaps, the noise of baffle filter is much much higher than the filter less chimney. Hope this helps!

    How often to use auto clean feature

  • @CommonManLife

    @CommonManLife

    Better to use it at least twice a month. Also note that auto clean is just one part of cleaning. Chimney cleaning requires significant manual efforts also. I strongly recommend cleaning chimney thoroughly every 2 months for better and longer life of chimney.

    @@rishabhrai854 For better performance, life and aesthetics of chimney, it's important to clean it every month. You can delay it to 2 months, but not more than that. This goes same for baffle filter one as well. Also, chimney should be turned on even for smallest cooking to avoid fumes depositing on surface of chimney.
