'Clean Speech' by Taylor Swift - Hyde Park 2015

Фильм және анимация

This is a collection of videos I took whilst seeing Taylor Swift at Hyde Park on 27/06/15. The main focus of the video is on the speech she gave before 'Clean' however, there are some other highlights thrown in. Enjoy!

this is one of the reasons i am in love with this girl. when people say they don't like taylor's music, i'm like okay whatever i can't change your taste. that's your preference. but when people say they don't like her as a person or say she's a horrible person i'm just like..how uneducated do you have to be to make that judgement about her? don't talk about something you're not informed about. don't just follow what the media says about her, because THIS is her. this is who taylor swift is.

THIS is an example of an amazing audience fully connected and present. You scream, cheer, sing along, but not at every moment because you WANT to hear what your fave artist is saying and performing.

As an Autistic Person, I would doubt myself (I’d call myself a Retard non stop) and that upset me and my family; I was also really badly bullied at school which upset me (they’d call me names, such as an “Autistic C*nt or b*stard”). I believe in you, there is always light at the end of the tunnel.

This moment will be one I will never forget. I remember, I was at the worst of my depression, I had lost so many people in my life, my mom, dad, grandfather, brother, and with it my own sanity, I felt alone and I let my guard down and l listened to people who abused my good nature to their advantage, I was doing my training in nursing and I allowed peoples ridicule to control my thoughts, my self esteem and I had no confidence. The little group of friends I did see, I shut away because I felt ashamed of the ghost I had become. I was a shell. Around this time I was contemplating taking my own life, I was numb. I had completely forgotten about this concert until my best friend asked me if I was still okay to go. I told myself this will be my last piece of joy, to witness this concert I had been previously so excited to see, the train journey and room booking gave me so much anxiety and I felt as though I was ruining my best friends experience of it (we have adored taylor since her first album) but we got in early and was right at the front, I was kind of in a sort of euphoric state so many happy smiling faces screaming the songs all dressed in their costumes, how much control taylor had over the audience it was truly mesmerising. Then she performed this speech and every word hit me and I sobbed throughout it, like not a few tears like bawling, my friend was like 'do you need to leave' I said no. but this speech was a tipping point, I took the advice head on. That I needed to find my own definition of what is worthwhile and beautiful, I stopped talking to the people who were toxic, quit social media for a year, got a promotion, travelled, worked on my love life. Sometimes I fear I will go back to how I was, like today was a bad day... but again this has reminded me. so thanks for posting this.

That's life I guess, it pushes and challenges us, and again to quote Taylor... 'I dont think you know who you are until you loose who you are.' But I just wanted to comment and say thank you for your kindness, in world full of judgement you were all so kind. ❤❤❤

This is one of the trillions of reasons why I love Taylor so so so so so so so so much. I have never seen a celebrity put this much emotion into a speech like this. You see celebrities doing speeches like this, so they can have a reputation as a "positive role model" or whatnot. They don't have the emotion, Taylor does. She wants people to know that they are perfect in a way no one else is, and ever will be. She is a great inspiration to females and males alike. I would love to meet her, but I feel blessed just to be in the same generation as her, that I have seen live performances and not historical footage, most likely how people in the next generation will view her past performances. Sometimes I look in the night sky and think that Taylor is looking into the same sky as me, and that fills my heart with hope, and love, and pride. So to all those people that think she is a "snake", please watch this video. You believe she is a snake because there is nothing genuinely wrong with her, and I must admit, us humans have to find the teensiest thing wrong about her, and turn it into some big world news. I love Taylor Alison Swift. And it's really that simple.

We all come from different places, maybe we all have different accents, we have different hobbies, different backgrounds, Whatever. But there's one thing that we have in common that I know for sure and that thing is that when we feel a great amount of joy or a great amount of pain we turn to music. That's why we are all in Hyde Park tonight And from Talking to you so much And from getting to know you It's never been more apparent to me how difficult it is to feel OK about yourself in 2015 “Real Talk.” I mean every single day we go online “and trust me I love the Internet OK “ “love it” but every day we go online and we scroll through the highlight reel of other people’s awesome lives But we don't see the highlight reel of our awesome lives All we see is the behind the scenes of our lives We see every single moment from when we wake up Like oh God not feeling my hair today It's not gonna be a good day today for the hair you see your doubts you see your fears you see your concerns you're the only one that's inside your brain feeling all your anxieties and the voices that are telling you that you can't be who you want to be or that you're not who you want to be or that you want to be more like that other person over there Let me tell you people are mean to each other But no voices are as mean as our own voices are to ourselves Is it true or is it false? It's true right.   Every day when you look in the mirror and your mind is telling all the things you're not if those things are • you're not cool enough • you're not pretty enough • you're not popular enough • you’re not successful enough • you’re not special • you're not wanted • you're not unique Those are not the things you are not. Let Me tell you the things that you are not. You are not somebody else's opinion of you. That's what you're not. You are not going nowhere just because you are not where you want to be yet. You are not damaged goods just because you have made mistakes in your life. Those are the things you’re not. Let me tell you the things that you are. “Would you like to hear the things that you are?” You are your own definition of beautiful and worthwhile, and no one else's definition You are wiser, stronger, smarter because you made mistakes in your life, not damaged. And Lastly London England you are someone who is probably standing here tonight • going through your own battles • fighting your own ghosts • trying to cover your own scars • stressing about your own stresses but rather than wallowing in them you got up you put on an awesome outfit And now we're all standing here together having the best time of our lives at a concert on a Saturday night I’ve realized that it's not about being perfect It’s not about feeling perfect I think that sometimes it's just about getting on with things And after a while, you look around and you realize you're happy today and that's all that matters and I just want you to know that I have learned in 25 years and I'm still learning is that if you get rained on you walk through a bunch of storms life is constantly coming at you that doesn’t make you damaged, It makes you clean. I hope this helps some onw=e feel better. Lots of Love guys

As someone who's been fighting with mental issues since early childhood this speaks to me on another level. I realized I am finally clean, when I realized that I am not my illness, I am a whole person behind it all, with or without it. Things will change but I'll stay. And I'll be fine. I am strong.
