For anyone purging bags, backpacks, and suitcases, please consider contacting local foster care groups. Children's belongings are frequently transported in large garbage bags!! Our church has an area connected with Children's Ministries with donated suitcases etc that our foster families know about and can access whenever they need to. It makes a big difference for a child!!

I always wish I could ‘thumbs up’ the video more than once when there is cute dog content!!!

Jen thanks for keeping it real and showing us your closet. That’s what I love about your videos. I find myself thinking, yup, I need to clean my closet too. I would guess most of us can relate to the struggles of deciding when it’s time to get rid of something we like but don’t really use. Keep up the inspiration. Wish I had a staging area like that when we were getting my daughter ready for college! A place for everything and everything in its place is terrific! Can be a challenge to keep it up but as you showed in just a few minutes you can accomplish a lot! Your dog is adorable!

You are so right! Sometimes having a lot of space isn’t your friend. I’ve had several clients that said “well now what will I put there” once a space is cleaned out and sometimes empty. I think we as humans sometimes feel like if something is not packed to the gills, that we are in “need”. When the truth is, most times we are in “want”. Great video!!

Haha, I love the blue mickey bag. I have one myself, but I don't have any Disney bags but that one. It fits so much! I have the same problem with bags. I seem to keep them even if I don't use them. Whenever you post a cleanout video, it makes me happy. There is something peaceful about cleaning out a closet. Now, I need to do the same thing but in my closet.

The struggle is real with too many bags. Women tend to buy stuff they don't need, to get a "free" bag they really don't need. You have inspired me to clean out my packing area(s).

That was a great one box Wednesday! There was a lot in those three big bags (plus the three big bags) being given away, and then all the trash and other things being put in new homes. The space is so much neater and airier. I can’t wait to see you go through your travel toiletries/misc area. I feel like these areas (travel bags, packing cubes, toiletries, misc. stuff) does get to be a mess in my house, too. With two young kids, our needs keep changing so I keep needing to go through our travel stuff and purge things that are no longer needed and reorganize. But doing it regularly does mean it’s a manageable task and not so overwhelming (just kind of annoying lol)

I applaud you Jen, it's so hard for me once I get started to not just keep going and go through every piece of everything in a closet, spending hours. But then I don't do it every week that's for sure. Please share what you end up doing with your magic bands! Gina I struggle with that, too! So usually I think what would it cost to replace this item if I found I really DID need it at some point? Typically, I can justify re-buying if necessary (and let's face it it's actually rarely necessary). I'm trying to only store things that I use regularly and this strategy has worked well for me because the struggle is real!! Thanks for watching!

You should set up a Poshmark closet/store and sell the things you don’t want and use the money for more travel or your channel!

The one box Wednesday make it seem way less overwhelming. I'm hoping to tackle the spare room this weekend, as I know I have piled several things in there to donate. I can totally relate to the "well I don't really use this, but I can't get rid of it." It is tough sometimes.

No definitely not weird! Dooneys retain value and there is a resale market for them. It's not like a mascara or a cheap bag. Quality products are worth it.

Bags are my weakness! Every year I find myself buying new ones for travel.

Bags are my downfall. I seriously purged last year but if I'm honest, 75% of what I still have (and love!) I have not used in that year. Also, I'm trying to decide if our rarely used guest closet needs to become our packing closet.

OMGI love your dog. I was also going to suggest finding an online resale site for bags that you still love and are valuable but you don't really use, but I see your posh mark comments below. I use some local garage sale sites at times to sell things that I'm not quite ready to straight donate, but I want to know are going to a good home with someone who will use them a more than I will and appreciate a good deal :)
