When you began cutting away the wrap you had just put on I questioned what you were doing. I should never have doubted you. The small differences in each petal is what makes it so lovely.

I hate to be troublesome, but hydrangeas only have four petals per floret, not five. A lot of flowers have five petals, but not hydrangeas. They are related to the dogwoods, which also have only four petals on a flower.
