I use duraclear varnish for my stuff personally. If you are making things with polymerclay though, I wouldn't recommend modpodge or nail polish as a varnish. Theres some additive in polymerclay that breaks down nail polish over time so that it will get tacky again. And I've never had modpodge cure completely on polymerclay, it always stays tacky.

I mean it doesn’t really have a name, there are certain brands with different types of clay but what these people are using is air dry clay
