Actually, you're very versatile in grammar. Even though I spend 9 to 10 hours daily in a shop working as a salesman, I take 1 to 2 hours daily to teach my son English language. For this,I learn English whenever I have time,especially, I use as much as KZread which publishes very wonderful lessons videos. Among the English teaching videos I find your pedagogy amazing, particularly,in the way you preach the grammar. I have gone through a large volume of grammar collections, but you're few video clips made me aware some long lasting doubts in English language grammar. What a wonderful tutor you are! I think it should be 'in the darkness even your own shadow leaves you' because that's much clearer. Otherwise it sounds like your shadow is actively leaving you in darkness. The word order change means that when you are in darkness your shadow is gone.

What is a subject? According to your definition.... We have to write passive voice without subjects...

Usually the subject does the action in a sentence.but in passive the subject doesn't do the action it recieves the action.

In this sentence the subject is neither the doer of the action nor receiver of the action. Then what you have got to say??????

@@patashalawa hey.. The definition depends on the knowledge of students.... According to the lession you taught... Simply you can say the subject is the thing what you are talking about...... That's enough till you do PHD....
