Similar to Mother Gothel, Frollo is one of those villains that get so evil and sinister the more you get older. He represent the very worst aspects of humanity, especially religious fanaticism and misogyny towards WOCs. That what makes him brilliant, you are repulsed by his actions because he does exist in real life. Plus, Hellfire is so iconic that there hasn’t been a villain song for a while until Princess And The Frog. Props to Alan Menkin. 🔥 (Also, a video on Mother Esmeralda. 🥺👉🏽👈🏽)

They're often meant to be like God himself is watching over the place so when the gargoyle snarled at Frollo and then proceeded to yeet that bitch, it was basically God saying "Fuck you, burn in Hell" (They do have a physical purpose which is to drain rainwater to keep the stone from being damaged by excess runoff, but that's less interesting)
