There's also Salvatorre Ferragamo - he was the designer for Audrey Hepburn (just as Givenchy was). And there's a new brand I'm checking out called Parisa Wang - it seems new and a good alternative to Hermes. Love your work as always Sophie, thank you so much for keeping luxury real ;))

I love that Mulberry Alexa bag, I own the Mini version and two Bayswater zipped bags. I would say they have comparable quality to my Celine Micro Luggage which cost twice as much ten years ago! I would love a Mulberry review!

I think the British brands are absolutely killing it at the moment. The designs and colours they are coming out with are so classy and wearable. I think the Lottie is a perfect travel handbag. It’s dressy and elegant enough for a city trip but it’s not a brand that’s well known outside the UK so it doesn’t have steal me written all over it. And I so love the Mayfair and the Launer Traviata.

Interesting video. Agree completely on the Alma BB looking more elegant/classy in the Damier Ebene print. And the other issue with the monogram in that style is all of that vachetta on the bottom, eeek! I can't even imagine what that is going to end up looking like down the road.

I love my Mulberry mini Alexa. I have it in Mulberry Green and I love it. It holds so much, the leather is gorgeous and it is so versatile. I also love the Iris. You can get so much in it and change the handle to match your outfit. I have 3 handles for mine! I’ve always got a bag in my Aspinal basket but haven’t been brave enough to checkout! ❤

How well does the Alexa hold its shape? I always go for more structured bags, but I’m in love with this one. Also I can only recommend Aspinal, amazing quality.

These are great choices, Sophie, and would be very useful. My personal style rule is that I wear only one logo per outfit at most. So, if I'm going to wear my Chanel CC pin or my Hermes Clic Clac H bracelet or a my Burberry logo plaque belt, I am not going to pair it with a bag with a logo on it.

Fully agree with you on Aspinal- lovely bags. I have the Lottie in caviar leather. Also agree with Mulberry- avoid gimmicky colours though. Launer were there before Hermes did the Kelly. No mention of Strathberry, Tusting or Lalage Beaumont?

@@Mary.G. I‘m pretty sure (don’t quote me though) that the Saint Laurent outlets get old season colors and styles that were available at some point for full price in the boutiques. For instance, I also purchased a Solferino bag at the outlet that I had seen in the Saint Laurent boutique a year prior at full retail price.

Thank you so much and have to say...I am really enjoying the increased amount of videos now. 😊 Btw, I would love to try Aspinal bag but seems they are not willing to sell to Czechia and have a strange customer approach. 😒 When I tried to buy a bag a year ago, their system was not in line with EU legislation which requires 2 levels of verification so my payment was denied all the times. No response from customer team to that topic. When I wanted to try one more time before xmas I found out that if I want to buy from Czechia the price is in CZK but the convertion rate is doubled, which in fact meant that the czk price in sale was higher than the full price in GBP or EUR. 🙈 I gave up on customer service this time and just accepted the fact Aspinal won't be in my collection.

I don't care for Aspinal or Mulberry, but I love Celine, Givenchy and the epileather Alma PM without the conspicuous logos and monograms. Strathberry is great as well, really good quality and not expensive.

I Would add toy lou lou bag Saint Laurent . It’s under 1.5k and offers so many colours and fabrics. I got one in denim beautiful lilac in summer 😊

Hi Sophie, as far as non-logo’d bags, have you ever considered the Delvaux Brilliant? I recently visited a boutique while traveling and laid hands on one in person, and was considering getting one. But when I tried to do some research on it I realized there really isn’t much review of this brand in general. I wonder why, since this is the only other brand that has the same level of craftsmanship and heritage as Hermes. Would love to hear your thoughts on this brand.

What bags and shapes would you recommend when wearing casual clothes?

What do you think of the Polene bags? Specifically Mokki and Neuf

Alma is very nice, but it can also be bought from so many other brands for around 100-150 GBP and the exact same quality. We will see where things go, but for logo heavy bags Gucci and Miu Miu are definitely the way to go these days.
