Does the fact that Shev, meaning sit, have any thing to do with “sitting sheva” when a family member passes and the surrviver lower themselves by sitting in a low chair to receive mourners for sheva, or seven days.?? How does one say, “sitting sheva” in Hebrew? Is that the root or Shabat? I’m hope these questions don’t annoy you.
