When they commented about Sungjae not being as strong, I think it's because Sungjae is a baritone, but generally sings in a tenor range, so he has to reach for his notes. Im Hyunsik is also baritone, but he got baritone lines in this arrangement.

How can these people pay any attention when they are yacking through the whole thing. As to the vowel sounds, this is Korean, they shape their vowels differently than in English, and they have some sounds we do not even make at all. I do agree that on Immortal Songs, the style tends to be over produced.

When he said “None of them look thrilled be there” and “I wish they would get more into the song” I was thinking to myself that they actually were really into the song and that they people watching should read the lyrics, which are on the screen, and he would understand that they are feeling the song and the meaning.

I think what most musicians don't give a lot of attention to is that countries too have different perspectives on music. Korea specifically likes a lot of minors abruptly changes to a major with their songs, you'll know if you'll listen to their songs. Immortal Songs is a great show where you'll see a little bit of old and moedern korean music mixed altogether.

Finally!!! Btob!! Actually all of the members are majoring music in korea. Two of them passed the best practical musical university in korea before their debut(that year, the school only passed two guys and three girls as their student, more than 3000 students applied and 'changsub'-at that time he didnt want to become an idol for awhile - and 'hyensik' got the ticket. Also one rapper was from musical major and so on.. Ah also almost all of them make their songs and write the lyrics. I love their effort and talent!

구독자로써 이 채널 진짜 좋아하는데 이 영상만큼은 볼 때마다 기분이 나쁨. 다른 영상들이랑 다르게 클래식뮤지션들 중에서도 성악가들만 나온거니까 리액션하는 사람들이 달라서 그런진 모르겠는데 계속 음식먹고 제대로 집중도 안하는 태도 굉장히 불쾌. 그리고 당연히 긍정적인 의견만을 듣기를 바라는 건 아니지만 혹평이 심하네. 일단 이노래 부르는 비투비는 국내 아이돌 중 보컬만으로는 탑이고. 그걸 제쳐두고라도 이게 노래로 승부하는 프로그램에서 우승까지 한 무대라면 객관적으로 남들한테 인정받은 무대인 셈인데.. 다른 보컬리스트들이 리액션한 영상도 많이 봤는데 반응이 너무 다르다. 얘네 다 실용음악 전공했고 가수면 똑같이 전문가인데 이런 무시를 받아야하나. 성악가들이 대중가수를 보는 시선이 이런건지..참..

Eugene Kim 이사람들은 그냥 우월의식이 깔린 국가시스템에서 교육받은.. 문화적 수용력이 낮은 사람들일 뿐이예요. 기본적으로 타문화를 존중하는 소양도 부족해 보이네요. kpop은 무시하면서 kpop이용해서 돈은 벌고싶은거죠. 자기들이 볼때 좋은?음악하는 가수들(이진아, 악동뮤지션..) 리액션하면서..kpop은 왜 이런음악을 못만드냐고 말합니다. Kpop을 공장식 아이돌음악이라 정형화 시키고 무시하죠. kpop 아이돌 무시하면서 왜 kpop 아이돌 영상만 리액션하는지.. 외국인들이 아이돌만 좋아하니까..제작사들이 돈되는 아이돌만 투자해서 한국 음악생태계 망가지고있다고 말해주고 싶네요.

Explanation was a little wrong again, its not all idols, its bands, singer-songwriters, soloists ect, idols rarely get invited because you have to be GOOD to be on the show since its 100% live and they arrange it themselves. I'd love to see them see a better performance from Btob since they really didnt get to hear the TALENT that is btob ya know. Also maybe Jeup's performance of Wildflower on I Can See Your Voice?

The first time i watched this i didn't finished, i tried watching this again and i really can't finish this without getting angry. I hate how they say they don't like it without even explaining why. And i get really annoyed with that girl who is eating the whole time and at the same time criticizing the boys nonstop without explaining further why or what is there to criticize. So here's the thing: i'm not happy with this reaction vid. I watched the "voice teacher" (forgot his name) reaction, i agree with everything he said because he was able to explain every details very well.

I really want you guys to know this. BTOB is one of the top class kpop idol. Majority of the other idols even agreed that they are amazing vocalists, so I don't what to see anybody thinking about BTOB badly. If yiu think that way, it's cuz they, the reactioning guys did the bad job... that was really not nice at all

Bobbo i don’t think they’re being snobs at all... please try to not disrespect them with your condescending attitude. i do understand where they are coming from. plus most of the stuff they talked about (mixing, instrumentation, etc.) was not actually something that btob could control it was just the sound engineer at the time. btob definitely has some of the best vocals out there but i think it is true that this video did not serve them justice about how absolutely amazing they could be. i think the reactors felt how good the vocalists could be they were just disappointed that under these circumstances btob did not perform their most amazing show. not saying that btob is bad... just saying that there are plenty of other videos out there that show the strengths of btob much more than this video

I can’t stand people who think that they’re the best and they need to criticize everything so they don’t admit that there’s people who can actually sing other than them. If you were a professional you’d know what they can do with their voices even if they didn’t show everything. You need to choose the perfect technique for the damn song not to show off your voice and everyone have the right to choose how they wanna sing as long as they do it perfectly. Ugh

애초에 클래식 발성으로 보는 게 잘못되는 거 아닌가 저건 가요고 많은 사람들이 칭찬한 무대인데 힘있는 고음을 소리침으로 보고 어이가 없다 진짜 전문가 납셨다. 보컬라인 다 실용음악과 나와서 기본적인 발성법 그런 거 다 배우고 지금까지 연구하는데 솔직히 아예 처음 볼 때부터 삐딱한 시선으로 보는 게 예의가 없는 것 같네요

The one you say is not as good as the others is Yook Sungjae. All of the others singers are 3-5 years older than he is. He is the youngest member of the group and admits that his singing is not as good as his hyungs (elder brothers). However, his vocals have improved a great deal; he is also a natural baritone so singing upper register was his weakness but he has been training consistently to improve. He has now released a solo album with the title track “Come with the Wind” which you might check out. One other thing, this was live without ear pieces (which they normally wear when singing live) so the loud music is for them to hear.

They won this episode, they were great. I don’t really know how others think but I do think they’re amazing. They should check the feeling not the way they sing like they keep saying “they should...” and “I don’t really like...”. And what they don’t know is this song is sang by one person and they managed to make it into 4 person perfectly.

Also, please react to Eunkwang's cover of 'Letter that was sent blank'. He also sang that song on the same show and it really shows his vocal abilities. It is also such a sadly beautiful song ❤💓❤💓 I feel like the dude in the red would really appreciate it lol

so after I watched this video there's a suggestion vid of a voice teacher reacts to this. and the difference in reaction is really different.

I don't understand how this ain't "flattering" to them since they won this round. :D The stylistic choices like airy singing were lauded by Korean audiences. I guess their comments were super technical because they're classical vocalists but maybe an overview of the show's concept could help shed light on these reactors? :D I guess you have to let 'em hear the original song, followed by this one for better judgement I guess? They themselves made the harmonies as it was originally sung by only one person.

coming back here after watching that Voice teacher reaction, he really said that their singing techniques are so nice, & their voices are so clean and their high notes are healthy & he praised the technique which eunkwang used in singing high note even hyunsik one, he really praised everyth' abt the performance, i felt someth' is strange with this reaction, any way the voice teacher explained every technique so simply even someone who doesn't know anything can understund easly what they are doing, he even said that sungjae voice is nice, compared to others we all know he lack a litlle bit but he's so good, he's not bad at all, his explantions were really good... any way i really like some reactors on this channel

My mom's a former music teacher and she gave a high score when she first saw this performance. And she's too hard to please nowadays too.

As usual, and as expected, “Silver Light” and the others killed it.

Do they realize BTOB won that episode of Immortal Songs 2. I think one thing that might be throwing them off is the Korean language has like zero intonation, so it might sound flat or less emotive to them because of that. I think they sounded wonderful. Hyunsik is my favorite of the group, but I think Eunkwang has the best technique. Hyunsik's solo stuff is really awesome.

못 부른다는 표현보단 각각 어떤 특징을 갖고 부르는지 얘기하고 있고 뒤에 악기 소리가 너무 많이나서 가수들 화음이나 목소리가 잘 안 들리다는게 주 내용이었음.

appreciated how that guy was so quick to identify sungjae as the weakest vocalist of the four. the Korean public seemed to love his voice a lot after his performance on Masked Singer (i mean i do too), but he got to the 3rd round which was further than the other BTOB members who appeared, and it made people think he was a better singer than the other members. When frankly, thats just not the case. there's a reason why he's dubbed the sub-sub-sub vocal. also love how eunkwang got that stamp of approval from everyone. excited to see them react to his performance with his mom. kinda wish there was a full version of his performance of "Tears" from Masked Singer that they could react to. his short aria was beautiful, but im curious to hear about how it sounds to classically trained vocalists.

I personally don't agree that he's the weakest out of the three. Eunkwang is obviously just on another level, and Changsub too, but when it comes to Hyunsik and Sungjae it's a bit murky to me. Sure, Hyunsik has a wider range but like the guy in the video said, when he tries to go for the higher notes it tends to be shouty and just full of strain. And Sungjae puts himself down way too often because of the fact that he can't go as high as the others, but when he stays in his comfortable range his voice is something else. It wouldn't hurt to get proper vocal coaches for the both of them though.

Eunkwang is definitely one of the idol singers that has really good technique. For immortal songs 2 Jung Dongha and Son Seugon (i know I am spelling that wrong), would be really good to reactions for. Since there known for being amazing technique when singing. And Ailee and Sohyang of course.

I am distracted with that lady who's eating. She also talks a lot and eat again, which I think she missed some important details of the performance. This performance is up to the mark.

The woman who ate the snack all the time watching their performance is so ..so!!! Rude and Arrogant... 클래식 보컬리스트, 성악가들이라 하셨는데, 감상하는 태도부터가 감상이 아니라...그냥 우스갯거리를 보는 듯한 태도시네요. 마치 옛날 귀족들이 성악가 불러놓고 나는 뭐 먹는동안 어디 한번 무대해봐라, 내가 돈은 줄게...그런 무대를 보는 듯한 태도처럼 느껴져서 매우 불쾌합니다.. 오케스트라때문에 목소리가 묻히니 안들린다고 싫을 수 있죠. 근데, 애초에 스낵씹으면서 그 소리가 들리긴 어렵죠. 그리고 성악발성을 싫어하는 사람들도 많고, 클래식만의 감성과 대중가요는 차이가 많다는 걸 모르진 않을텐데... 이 영상은 몇몇 분들의 성악가의 오만함과, 클래식하는 사람들 중 일부가 갖고 있는 개똥우월의식을 보여주는 영상이 되어버렸네요...

I kinda wish they would watch an entire episode. They don't have to react to it but just watching an episode they could understand the concept of the show as well as be introduced to the other kind of singers Korea has, because it's not all the time that the idol singers are the best of the episode. They would also hear a small clip of the song they're remaking so they can hear the different arrangements the singer has done.

+Debanhi Cespedes Good suggestion. Actually while Immortal Songs 2 started with idol singers in the line-up, the line-ups on IS2 nowadays often have at most only one or two idol groups/soloists. The first time I heard this performance I had shivers running down my spine and teary eyes. After watching this video I understood what the reactors mentioned and agreed with some things, but for me the performance really caught me off guard and I still think it's beautiful.

YES MORE LOVE FOR EUNKWANG. I wish this performance shows off Changsub's vocals more because I think he has one of the most unique vocal tones in K-Pop. But all of BTOB is talented so pls stan them

There are just times these reactors are so disrespectful to the artists they react to. They sound so condescending most of the time.

I don’t think they deserved this kind of negative reactions when the majority of the professional reactors in youtube praises their voices... where are all this comments coming from?

I would like to hear these reactors sing 😉

I dont understand the way they react the video, it is a bit disturb me when they are eating watching and talking all at the same times.

I hope the vocalists will be able to react to Son Seungyeon's performances on IS2 in the near future because she's such an amazing vocalist

Watching this reaction, it gives me a contented feeling that, even though BTOB has been regarded by many as great singers, they still have more room to grow/improve. It somehow make me more excited that BtoB as a group can still be greater than their current condition. :)

이 채널 개인적으로 너무 좋아했는데 너무 자기중심적으로 지적만하는것 아닌가요.. 가요는 클래식이랑은 아예 다른 장르인데 그걸 생각 안하고 클래식 기준으로만 평가하는것 같아요. 그래도 이 무대 우승할 정도로 좋은 평가 받았던 곡이에요.. 너무 비판하는건 기분 나쁩니다. 다 실용음악이랑 뮤지컬 배운 애들이고 같은 가수니 전문가라고 할수 있는데 막 까내리고 싶어하는게 보이네요. 저도 음악을 오래한 사람인데 성악 창법을 조금 선보인 은광이 말고는 호평은 거의 없었고 음악 전공한 제가 봐도 혹평할 부분은 거의 없었던 것 같은데 좀 너무하네요.

저도 동의해요.. 몇 안 되는 비투비 리액션이라서 들뜬 상태로 들어왔었는데 실망했어요. 기분도 상하고 ㅜ... 제가 모든 영상을 본건 아니지만 다른 그룹들이랑 너무 비교되게 하는것 같기도 했고요. 이 영상뒤로 이 채널을 거의 안 봤는데 갑자기 생각나서 왔다가 님 댓글을 봐서 남겨요.. (제가 한국말이 서툰점 양해 부탁드려요)

This video makes me realize that I will probably stan BTOB forever. Because usually when people don't like the group I like that much, I'm like ok fine it's your choice. But this time I literally want to say WHAT THE HELL YOU ARE DEAF OR WHAT??? lol no offense just want to say its funny seeing myself finally being emotional for a KPOP group. Thanks guys

I took a quick glance at the future reactions playlist and saw that orange caramel is pretty soon! While I do think it's cool to have them react to two orange caramel songs, I was thinking that it would be more interesting of a comparison to see them react to an orange caramel and after school song to show how they change their style of singing and genre so drastically between group to sub-unit. I am aware that AS's music isn't really that complex or interesting and is really streamlined pop, but I do think that some of their discography would maybe be a good contrast to OC's style (something like first love, or because of you.) Even so, love the reactions and the amount of work you put into the content you put out really shows!

한국어 자막이 없어서 슬프네요ㅠㅠ 아무래도 악기 연주에 대한 얘기보다 멤버들 노래 스타일 평가가 많네요. 그와중에 창섭이는 마치 변성기 안 겪은 것 같다고, 아예 팔세토라고 부르고. ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ 은광이가 제일 테크닉적으로 완벽하다고하니. 역시 외국인도 비슷하게 들리는가봅니당. 우리 뎨뎨에게 혹평을ㅠㅜ 괜찮아요. 비투비가 제일 노래 잘 하는 날은 "내일"이니깐!

glottal attack(?)이 과장됐다고 하네요. 그리고 자꾸 나머지 셋만큼 강하지 않다고도 하구요. ㅠㅠ(답변하기 위해 다시 귀기울여서 들었습니다. 여자분들 처음부터 끝까지 표정이 안 좋은게 마음에 걸렸는데, 덕분에 다시 들어보니, 밴드 연주가 과해서 때문에 노래 감상하기 어려워서란걸 알게 됐습니다.)

아휴 그렇군요...ㅠㅠ 저는 보컬 부분에서 너무 목소리가 세다는 식으로 이야기하는 것 같길래 왜이렇게 성재에게 안 좋은 말만 하나ㅠㅠ 걱정했는 데 그래도 생각보다 심하게 말하지는 않았...그래도 상처는 상처네요. 우리 애기 실력 많이 늘었는데....답변 감사합니다.^^

@@augu8t139 아니요. 처음부터 끝까지 삐딱한 자세로 비난했습니다. 성재뿐만 아니라 다요. 음악감상 하는데 과자같은거 씹으면서 악기소리에 목소리가 안들린다고 하고, 창섭이한텐 변성기 안 온 애 같다고 하고, 현식이한텐 지르는 거 듣기 싫다고 하고. 적당한 비판이라고 생각할 수 있는데 말하는 톤 보면 상당히 비꼬아가면서 까내리려는 의도밖에 안보입니다
