Good that I'm not the only one. Keep considering building myself a booth, but nowhere to site it if I did.

You are amazing, I hadn’t sung in months and I needed to start auditioning for choirs again - my higher range was completely shot. This on its own has helped me so much in opening my voice :)

This gives me hope. I joined a church choir for Christmas and I haven’t sang soprano in about 14 years. Choir used to be my life and now I could cry over my sound recorded 😭
i am 83 years old. I have a very good voice coach. I have no trouble singing E5. I have some problems belting up there but i have no problem singing along with you. My coach works on my palate as you suggest. Most audience's don't notice the difference. I started leaning to sing February 2019.
I want to sing so good that everyone from the industry will be like " 👁👄👁"

Everytime I start singing my heart starts pumping very fast 😆😆
I'm a soprano in our choir and I came back after 2yrs. I used to be able to hit high notes easily when I was younger(11yrs old) now that I'm about 14 I have a hard time doing it so thank you for this😭😭
I was a mezzo soprano for a long time and have been singing in church choir. We often do classical music in Latin. One day my lower register had disappeared and I was a first soprano. I have been trying to rediscover my chest voice again. Thank you for your videos.
I can’t believe your mastery not only as a vocalist but as a teacher 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 I learn so much from you every single video 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

WOW! My high notes improved from just this video! Now I've got to work on the vibrato up there. Thank you! Thank you!

Let the vibrato come naturally
I know exactly what you are talking about here, and it is so easy to start feeling and sounding tight on those beautiful high notes, something I should imagine that happens to a lot of singers, more than we think. After listening to you here, at the point when you are singing the higher notes with more ease, I did so along with you and it felt much easier and comfortable, so thank you so much for this Freya. Another interesting thing is about not trying to sing louder just because you are singing higher. I know that feeling too! Great video.
thank you so much for this video 😭 i am currently part of a choir (soprano) and still struggling on hitting the super high notes without strain. this vid helped me so much to realize what im doing wrong. its magical how i approach high notes changed almost instantly. currently crying thank you so much miss freya !
Thank you so much for the acknowledgment of us countertenors. I feel so special and grateful to be seen!❤️

Thank You for a great video, Freya.
I am a huge fan of yours Freya. I have toured in Europe and the in States singing in concerts since the eighties. You're Master Techniques have made a noticeable difference in my singing now. What a Blessing you are to my voice. Thank You once again.
Excellent video which will benefit all types of singers wanting to expand their range without choking off or getting 'shouty' as the pitch rises. Maybe 'onset' could have been mentioned?
All your warm ups for classical sopranos are really very good. Thank you from Toronto.

Same. Love from Scotland 🌌🏴💙😮🙏
Thank you for providing this lesson!
This is helpful, right now I have trouble hitting high notes because of the constant practice and carolings at church, I feel like my throat is giving up. Thank you! 💖
I loved all of your videos and your such an incredible singer
Thank you! Incredible advice! I have a choir concert tomorrow and I was so nervous thinking about hitting that A5!
I like it so much!! You are terrific!!! Thanks!!!
Very helpful. Thank you! I don't know how not to annoy my neighbours when practicing
SO HELPFUL. Thank you! ❤️
I haven't been able to hit those notes in awhile, hrr technique is amazing.
This instruction is so helpful and detailed!
I was trying to sing a particular song and this immediately made it so much easier. Absolutely amazing, thank you. Sometimes I can go on my own but sometimes I get stuck and strained and I need to remember this.
Hi freya I'd just like to say thank you for this video. I have subscribed a while ago to you and I really like you work. It's really helping me with your high notes. I was told i am a tenor. So again thank you. 😁🌹
Thank you, Freya. I am an educator and your style is low-key, down-to-earth and easy to follow.
Thank you! God bless ❤️🙏
Very helpful. Thank you.
You helped me so much with this video, I have a performance coming up with super high notes and just kept straining and running out of air by the end! Now, I’m controlling my air, lightly hitting the notes, landing on top of them rather than pushing to reach up at them. Thank you!!
Bravo 👍 Thanks for teaching how to sing high note
Yes please thank you!!!
This is exactly what I do all the time when trying to sing high notes thanks for the lesson it helped me a great deal!
Thank you! That feels so much better, I can hit my highest notes (whistle) when I'm just laughing and having fun but It shuts off while I'm singing. This video makes so much since, I'm going to practice this.
Hi Freya, I watched a number of your videos. They are all very helpful. You explained the technique in a way very easy to understand. Your demenstration helps me so much. I did not know how to open the throat before. I finally understand how to do it after watching your video. Much appreciated.
Thank you ! ❤️
Great lesson, help tremendously
you are amazingly accurate. Many thanks.
Am with you dear it's amazing 🤩❤️🤩🤩
This video was very helpful It may be all that I need to go to high c and beyond. I'm a pro level opera singer, but having consistent trouble above Bb. I have a large voice and those can be so much harder to manage. Thanks! Most importantly, this coaching is right n line with every other aspect of the technique I use and teach to others. This video is everything!
Cool! Thanks!
Thank you for this tutorial
Wow amazing. Thank yoU!
Loved this
I'm singing Beethoven's 9th this weekend and those sustained A's are getting squeezy. This video is giving me some inspiration to stay relaxed and open. Thanks!!
I really loved this thank you
I've also been alto and wanted to try singing soprano. This really helps alot

Oh wow this is really helpful.
I am a barytone, that once sang tone a, but normally my highest tone is e or even f. In the solitude of my car I often practice octaves. I start with a comfortable tone and slide upward to the octave. Then I remember the sensation of the tone quality while sliding, and begin to switch between the two octave-notes - slowly at first, but soon more quickly. Then the same procedure with the next tone in line. At the end I even slide two octaves - always keeping the open throat in mind.
Danke ....
thank you
So informative
It was really helpful 🙏🙏🙏🙏
Thank you very much im a guy and it worked for me really hitted these high notes.
Wow, this was so helpfu
My neighbors must hate me for watching this video at 2am but i cannot sleep. This has helped me a lot. I can hit my higher nots better, not perfect but a lot better without my voice going out. Im 30 was a soprano in my teens. Now i think im a mezzo, but wanna extend my range. You are a great help. Thanks for shaing your knowledge with us singers.
Omg thank you so much I was able to hit that high note so easily. I kept pushing so much air lol
I am not VERY well trained. I have sung in choirs for most of my life, and been the best soprano in one of them, but that really only says something about the rest of the sopranos in that specific choir...... I really want to pursue singing (though only as a hobby). None of my teachers have really explained how to open that space you symbolize with your hand. I feel like even just this ONE video gave me a better understanding of it and made me more aware of what I can do to improve. Thank you! Any advice for what you can do if you've already made mistakes and your throat starts feeling sore and rough? Should I just take a break when that happens? Ideally, it shouldn't happen at all, I know, I just... I am out of practice and it happens sometimes....
I love you so much, i think you may have just saved my grade 8
I bet you're lessons are EXPENSIVE
Wow I'm still thinking if this is for beginners
Always enjoy your videos. I still covet the possibility of singing higher. I don't want to make everyone in my home deaf from my practicing though (and I hate hearing myself practice). One of these days I might get an isobox or something.
My name is : Kathy Herrmann, Paul is husband. Anyway, I am a coloratura soprano and am singing in a community singing group of older adults aged 50-80. I am in my seventies. Good vocally with operatic experience (minimal). I need your advice about what to say when another soprano member in the group makes the comment "don;t we skriech good"? I feel offended since I sing well and am using my voice to the best of my ability. I wil follow your vocal exercise suggestions. They are most helpful. Thank you.
Thank you so much, I had trouble singing because I couldn't get the higher parts in songs but this really helped
I want to start singing better cause I'm thinking on starting a music career

so I have a quick question. when I am warmed up I can hit C6 with ease. I'm trying to expand my voice to E6 but for some reason my D6 and E6 are consistently shrill/thin/strained. I always stop singing if it seems to hurt or cause tension. however, when I "siren" I can siren up to E6. Do you think I could consistently hit D6 and E6 well with practice, or is it possibly out of my range?
I can't do any vibrato in really high notes. I can do vibrato from D3 to A5, I can hit notes until G6 but can't do any vibrato at that range. I don't know how. Any tips?
I noticed although I am a coloratura I haven't sung for some 1-2 years and I don't have the voice I . is that possible? you don't use it you lose it.
G#5
I am too scared of disturbing my neighbors in my apartment to practice 😭 I think I need to just drive to the middle of nowhere lol
I can't get to the high C. Do you think if I keep on practicing the way you show us I will get there or at least make the B sound okay? I am over 60 and have been singing in classical choirs for about ten years.
Hi. I used to hit the really high notes when I was younger. I cant do it anymore. How I hope I can my voice back.
I never reached a sound beyond B5b. I think I am a mezzo. I AM COMPLETELY VIICELESS OVER THAT NOTE. It is a bit frustrating because I always ask on comments if is possible to expande of a couple of notes in my case, but no teacher ever answers that.
🙋🏽♀️👍🏾👍🏾
My choir teacher said a good tip for keeping a healthy singing voice is to just have a spoonful of honey at least once a day.
I want to know where should I sing from stomach or nostrils?
I thought I was a second Soprano but then I got into a musical and found I could sing a high A. Now lower high notes feel like they are in my chest voice.

What is the difference between soprano 1 and 2. I was told I am a lyric soprano but then I was told I was soprano 2. I don’t understand.
I’m a mezzo soprano voice range but I want to get to be a Soprano singer

The terms “Soprano” or “Mezzo” are voice types classification. You can't just become a soprano if you are a mezzo. It is about color, voice range, passaggio, and where the voice brights more. Please stop thinking you can change the nature of your voice and enjoy being a Mezzo
I just wanna sing higher so I can hit high notes in "little miss perfect"
