The ending note... Says it all.. Pretty sure this was a live performance/feed for a big church.. There was a video showing the churchs introduction prior to her singing. She released it for all of us as comfort during these troublesome times..

Josh, it's interesting you mention that So Hyang uses her hands and her whole body to express herself when she sings. To me, I have always been attracted to her hand gestures and motions when she sings. I find that I was often drawn to her hands when she moves her hands/arms, in addition to watching her facial expressions and etc.

I am sure she is also singing background in this track can anyone confirm this. You do a excellent reaction I know it is hard getting around copywrite issues with So hyang videos could it be because she is a independent artist.

For those who don't know, John Newton was the British captain of several slave trading ships in the 18th century. But he found he could not continue in that sordid life and credits God with turning him around. So he really meant what he wrote in this song. He became a minister for the last two decades of his life. The British Parliament and Royal Navy put an end to slave trading in the 19th century throughout the Western hemisphere. A truly noble endeavour.

Yes, and there a fine film about William Wilberforce, who fought for the abolishment of slavery in Britain. It is named "Amazing Grace".

It truly is excellent and shows how the rich people who controlled the British Parliament had to be basically tricked so that Wilberforce's bill could be pushed through while they were off at the race track! There have been a _lot_ of Parliamentary reforms since then! Yet one is left to wonder if politicians ever really do repent?

My comment is about Sohyang's total commitment to God and to recommend a couple of KZread videos she has posted. One is "The Reason I Love God" and the other is "FEBC interview April 2021". These videos are not for reactions but for your perusal. In the latter Sohyang reveals that she knows the Hebrew and Greek language's. That is because she is writing a series of books about the "Book of Revelation" and is studying all translations for accuracy. There will be 10 volumes in all, one of which has been published. The title of these volumes is Maranatha which means "Our Lord cometh" (1st Corinthians 16:22) or "come, Our Lord". It's amazing how this tiny South Korean with the biggest heart in the universe has restored my faith in God. In Lean On Me, Sohyang sings about friendship. Wouldn't it be wonderful to be friends with Sohyang. I would like to see reactions from the "Begin Again Korea" series on Vimeo. Can't get enough of her. Sorry for rambling. Looking for more in the near future.

I hope that you settled safely and comfortably in Utah. And I guess weather is much much colder thank California so please stay healthy there. I don't know whether you did react already but I'd strongly recommend you to react to Sohyang's "I'll always live you" by Whitney Houston. Setting is really different from other live performance. She did busking at seashore industrial park for the workers there with minimum instrumental support (keyboard, acoustic guitar and some kind of rhythm box....)
