After listening to Angelina sing for the last t2 years, I still marvel at her artistic abilities when she started professionally at 6 years old . I find myself saying "incredible " "amazing " "wow" after ea song.even though I heard each 100 times. She had supernova DNA when she was born. She is truly our Queen Angel. She is our Queen of jazz and chills ❤❤❤❤

This show was taped in NYC, so they found this session musician to play guitar for her. Uh... pretend you're him. You get a call, probably from your agent: "I've got a accompanist job for a young vocalist on a TV talk show. You wanna do it?" What's your first question - "How young?" I wonder how many musicians shook their head as they hung the phone up. "Eight? Still has baby teeth? Uh, no thanks." Or does he stick around long enough to hear, "She's going to sing Sinatra"? And THEN hang up?

In psychology, there's the term called "flow". This a condition when one has full control of his/herself, lost in moment, forgetting space and time. I think this term suit Angelina's condition when singing. Flow is forces of intuition and imagination. Angelina has already those forces since her early ages.

I think English is becoming her first language now. She is living in LA and speaks English very well. She lived in USA for some years as a kid and spoke English then too. As a matter of fact it influenced her Norwegian so much she had a slight accent to her Norwegian. Angina was also influenced by her Swedish father so she used Swedish words in her Norwegian. This is evidence she has a great ear for languages and can become fluent in several languages. This ability is very useful in music when she needs to express her thoughts and feelings in songs she will write and her performances. Her fellow school mates said Angelina excelled at school. Especially math and English. So I'm very confident she will become fluent in English if not already. What we saw in this video clip has more to do with her shyness than struggling with English. She did the same in Norwegian interviews too at age 8.

@@borgerborgersen372 thanks for responding. You could be right in much of what you say. However I do think that at that age, the language may still have been partially responsible. Her shyness also could contribute, and I don't think it is nervousness!

@@ronraskind Angelina has said she is not nervous at all when performing. She loves being on the stage. However, she is to this day a bit reserved in interviews regardless of language. It's just her personality. We even saw that in the intro to AGTtC. I feel this just shows what a humble person she is. Her shyness is not about being awkward among people, but not wanting to appear too confident. I have the impression Angelina believes she is just an ordinary girl despite the entire world keeps telling she is an amazing singer. I think she gets a bit embarrassed with so much praise. That is what you see in her shyness.

She is just starting her Amy Winehouse period. The way she pays with the vocal fry is her having fun. She does this, finds a singer whose style is fun for her to sing, then she keeps singing and refining until she has that effect down to where it feels right to her and it get locked in with 24/7 access to be used as she see's fit. It's like her Bohemian Rhapsody you get a lot of Norah Jones breathy quality at work. Then with Yellow Brick Road you get a little more Norah but with an arrangement that tips the hat to both Elton John and Sarah Bareilles.

I want to take slight issue with your use of the word, “channeling”. I think Angelina’s real debut at 7 years old with Gloomy Sunday showed her channeling Billie Holiday. But after that-even though it’s clear Angelina has learned from the great jazz and blues singers, we get Angelina’s version when she covers classics like this one. Her phrasing is not Sinatra’s, and her voice dances around the notes in her own way. What so mesmerizing about Angelina’s singing is that you get her interpretation when she’s 8 years old, or 10, or now, 15. It’s always refreshingly original, and you are engaged completely because of her total involvement with the song.

I Think Johns "channeling" but with her own twist is a good description of Angelina singing as a young child. One can easily hear who Angelina is channeling in differens songs. And I don't think that is making Angelina less amazing. Beeing able to pick up theese great singers have given Angelina a big toolbox to use, mix and melt together to her own genuin artistery.

Josh wonderful to have you back reacting to Angelina. Our barefoot angel has been living in Los Angeles during the pandemic and has been seen buying meals for the homeless. We angels never forget Angelina's humanity which compliments her incredible talent. Have to think Angelina has written many original songs over the past couple years and only Million Miles has been released to date. No doubt Republic Records has their promotion strategy laid out for her but it continues to be difficult waiting for new material.

In Brazil, she went to see the statue of Jesus and she leaned over a railing and sang to Jesus acapella this song "Fill my heart with song and let me sing forevermore You are all I long for All I worship and adore In other words, please be true In other words, I love you" It was pure and sweet. It fit the lyrics so well, you never know what a child is thinking when they sing a song like this, generally not what an adult is. I believe that is why a child can sing a love song with such feeling because their perspective of the song is so different than adults. I see you have lots of comments of what songs to do next.

OK, I have a proposal. All the moons in the solar system have official names. Ours does not. It was called "the Moon" before we knew others existed. Cultures have given the moon names like "Luna" in Italian, Latin and Spanish, "Lune" in French, "Mond" in German, and "Selene" in Greek, etc. My proposal is to give our moon an official name. Maybe named after someone that has flown us to the moon countless times with her, and featured our moon in videos and maybe a book. I just need to come up with a name. Any suggestions??? 😁

Angelina as a child can sing like few other children can and she is a prodigy. If one listens to her music without looking at the video it is hard to believe she is a child.
