There's something charming about orchid. It's less polished than some other records, a bit of fretboard buzzing here and there, and more straightforward than the later stuff. But still super unique and evocative.

This track and the apostle in triumph are my top 2 songs on this record. Orchid and Deliverance are my personal favorites as well

Brilliant! I do like Orchid, it's great, but just happens to not be my top 3. I don't think I've ever heard an Opeth fan say they don't like it.

@@PJAlphaMusic Because my top 3 are Still Life, Watershed, and Ghost Reveries. Those heavy tracks like Heir Apparent, and Baying of the Hounds, and the like, just do something extra to my soul.
