Problem is the English vowel shift, so it's kind of "Mea" - "Yar" - "Coe" (or similar) in English. It's much easier for Germans... ;-)

It's really cool that she posted this video of her struggling and learning, she is really good but also human and also has her trials and challenges!! The piano recital she is mentioning here will be a double show she will play later in the year to go along with the release of her EP a couple weeks ago. Check out LOVEBITES - Dystopia Symphony which is inspired by Beethoven. The distorted sound is about him overcoming his hearing loss.

It's really nice to have a real expert looking at this (I'm not one of them), and it's also nice, that Miyako lets us see her initial and imperfect challenges in a home made video. I think, she'll do really fine in November 2023, but this kind of magic is hard work and passion, it's not just about talent...

Miyako's piano is a Yamaha baby grand which her parents gave her when she was thirteen. She saved up from her pocket money to replace the plastic keys with wooden keys. She calls her piano "my best buddy" and says that "it made me who I am".

Mee yah ko, PJ. BTW - this analysis has been one of my most enjoyable reactions ever. I also Loved watching her work on this. My wife is a wonderful pianist, and it reminds me of her practice when she was learning Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody in C#m She finally mastered it, but it took weeks. And she was also working full time as an attorney, and being a wonderful mom to our 2 sons, and accompanying the choir at church . . . Mi-ya's influence is all over Lovebites' music.
