People need to learn that rap isn't always being though. Entitled KHH fans always bash Ravi for his rapping. True, he is no world class, but he is way above your average kpop rappers. Also Ravi is one of the few Idol to KHH Rappers out there and making waves in the KHH scene. More and more idol rappers are becoming stronger outside being an idol. And then there are guys such as Bigone now in SMTM6 who started out in 24K.

This is exactly what I want to hear from people who have musical knowledge about VIXX. Not mainstream, out of the boundaries. The 2016 Conception is such a masterpiece but got underrated which is sad. I became a fan of the boys kinda late (I noticed them at the beginning of the Conception, right before Dynamite was out lol) but I'm always glad that from then on I'll never miss those better things in Kpop anymore. The Closer is my most favourite out of the 3 and I'm still jamming to it whenever it comes on my shuffle lol. Thank you guys so much for the reaction! And keep doing the great work!

This is the reason I've always loved Vixx. They're not so mainstream yet they make their music sound so good. I've always come across people who aren't into vixx cause their music is different to mainstream music that they're used to. I feel like Vixx will be one of the only groups to pull this off because of their voices. They're so contrasting yet they come together incredibly well.

guys I understand why y'all want them to upload other groups other than VIXX, but I feel like y'all are overreacting a bit :/ This trilogy series has literally been on the schedule for about half a year now, and Dynamite, Fantasy, and The Closer are a trilogy so why wouldn't they upload it together in a row, especially when the reactors are going to compare them anyways? And this goes for any group, I feel so bad for Starlights who's finally getting a channel that's analyzing the trilogy together, but all they receive is negativity in the comment section because some people can't handle VIXX being reacted to for three videos in a row, and the next VIXX video isn't until October (About 43 of the videos aren't VIXX/MAMAMOO/BTS/EXO, that's more than half of the videos that aren't them.)

omg i thought i was strange because what you said is me literally, i mean i can like the other kpop songs but not as much as i did VIXX, i just unfortunately knew them 3 months ago and crammed all their 7 year songs, variety etc into my head. I really dont like mainstream stuff so im kinda not into pop in general too and i love rock and posthardcore with some classicals and suddenly for some reason i love VIXX.

ACKSHUALLY they are tying each song into a Greek god very beautifully Dynamite is Zelos aka jealousy Fantasy is Hades not because Ravi is handing out love potions but because it mirrors Orpheus' journey through the underworld for a girl he loves. And The Closer is themed on Kratos aka power - the power of love, jealousy and Ken's power in stopping time and taking in the whole story and then implying that he's the one to make the story depicted in Fantasy happen. I also read a theory in which Ken is Zeus in the sense that he definitely wants to bone this girl and he's pitting N and Leo against each other to get rid of competition but let's face it Zeus wouldn't play complicated mind games he'd just turn into a swan and seduce that bitch

Probably just googled "Conception Theory VIXX" . Then you get that shitty half theory on Amino apps.

VIXX can rock any concepts, hello concept-dols.. they did dark creepy concepts, cute boyish concepts, sexy mature concepts.. THEY ROCKED THEM ALL.. and this trilogy just PROVED how much VARIETY of music our boys can do.. they did the catchy pop, the dark creepy and the mature manly all in this trilogy so I think that's what VIXX really wanted to show. They wanted to show that they truly are the concept-dols that can rock any concepts because they are just genuinely talented.. they even covered girl group dances and still looked good lol

First of all: amazing video, I love the reaction and their opinion of Vixx' music! Second thing to say: stop complaining that your favorites have not the same amount of videos than others. You have to think about it: they're musicians so Umu shows musically interesting songs to them because she wants to see their reactions. And that's exactly why Vixx, Mamamo and seventeen are common reactions: because they have songs that are more interesting for musicians. If you think about it, it really makes sense: we talk about K-POP so most of Kpop songs are pop music which sounds good to us but is based on same rhythms, same melodies and so on, because that's the music style. Umu tries to show them the special side of Kpop like Jazz and so on. And you can clearly see that the musicians prefer Mamamoo, Vixx, AKMU and so on over bands like EXO or GOT7 because they like the kind of style better. And that's totally okay, because it's a reaction channel by MUSICIANS. Don't get me wrong, I love Kpop and I am mutlifandom af but I'm aware that I don't know much about music and don't know if a song is well produced or not. Those people know. Imagine if they would react to every song that we recommended to them. They would get bored because of the strong POP vibe and I think that Umu does a great job by showing the right stuff to them. I don't watch this channel because I want to see just another mainstream reaction of BTS or EXO saying, that the MV looks cool. We're here because we want to hear their opinion about the quality of the music! Of course they're going to watch (and like) more well produced songs. And I feel like bands like Mamamoo, Vixx and Akmu finally get the attention that they deserve. Please just let them react to the stuff that Umu thinks is the best for them. We don't want them to be bored or even annoyed. They still do it for fun. If you want to see a reaction of nearly every song, just watch another channel like JRE because that's his kind of video. But here you're gonna find the opinions of musicians about music that surprises them and they have maybe never heard of before. We don't need them to react to the mainstream stuff. Fighting Umu, you're doing a great job.

Well, see, that's the thing. I agree that VIXX, Mamamoo and Seventeen have cool, musically interesting songs but there are also many other groups, especially girl groups, with equally interesting music that haven't been given the same kind of attention. Or in other words, they're musically good but they're not so much better that they deserve an amount of attention that is THIS disproportionate purely based on musical quality. I mean, look at the numbers. Seventeen has been reacted to 7 times, Mamamoo 8, VIXX 11! Meanwhile f(x), Red Velvet and 4minute have only had 2, and Brown Eyed Girls, Orange Caramel, Gfriend, Wonder Girls, just to name some, zero. I'm sorry to VIXX/Mamamoo/Seventeen fans, but they are not THAT much more interesting than these other groups, especially considering the reactors HAVE reacted very positively to RV, 4minute and f(x). It's simply because Umu is a fan of them. Which is okay, they're what she's most familiar with (especially considering all these were filmed a while ago, I think she's definitely been working to expand her selection lately), and it's her channel so she can do what she wants and she deserves to indulge herself a bit considering all the work she puts in these videos. But people saying that a bit more diversity would be nice aren't wrong, and like I said, I think Umu herself has been putting some effort into expanding her selection, judging by her social media and the future reaction schedule.

OKAY now it's time for the theories of what is going on. Some of this comes from the Conception special package and some from just watching the character trailers & teasers, which I understand were not included since they weren't like BTS and them doing separate musical pieces. Anyways the list of who is who: N - Paris the human - his character trailer has him turning over tarot cards and receiving a letter that starts on fire Leo - Achilles the demi-human - his character trailer shows him wearing a scale shirt (armor) and submerging in water and he also has an arrow tattoo on his ankle Ken - Zeus - he is sitting on a throne in his character trailer high above hooded and masked figures bowing to him Ravi - Dionysus - in his character trailer he is surrounded by potions and wild shadows save for when he is running around a maze - Dionysus is also the god of chaos and madness as well as drinks Hongbin - Prometheus the Titan - he is carrying a torch while the shadows behind him are that of a bird of prey swooping down towards him in his character trailer Hyuk - Hermes - in his character trailer he has feathers behind his ear and is writing messages As for the plot, going backwards from The Closer - N is dating a woman that Leo decided he wants so Leo goes to Ravi to brew him a potion. Once the potion takes effect, Leo drags her away and N spots it and gives chase while Hyuk and Ravi try to stop him. Meanwhile Ken is watching the chaos and waits for... Fantasy where N heads to the Underworld to plea with Ravi to either switch bodies with Leo or to steal his lover back. Hongbin and Hyuk try to stop him but fail and Ravi finds it all amusing while Ken is just still enjoying the show which leads into Dynamite where Hongbin, Hyuk and N try to work out a plan while Leo is leading the girl to the alter to get married and thus tying her to him forever. Ravi gets the three drunk, and they all end up storming the ceremony either trying to stop it or trying to stop them but whatever the case they are all under the chaos and magic of Dionysus' drinks by this point.

Also VIXX is my favorite kpop group because they like doing these kind of songs instead of sticking to the same mainstream sounds over and over again. And while it's sad that they get over looked by international fans (they are popular in Korea just not in a mainstream way) I think I rather have them be true to the sound they wish to create instead of become just another Western influenced kpop boy group.

VIXX is underrated. I love their outside of the box concept so much, it's hard to understand cause it is genius. And FYI i'm not even a Starlight.

I absolutely love The Closer, probably because I love the bridge so much (rapping with a melody/counter melody over it asdhkhsdglkh), and then the verses, and how they use their different voices. For me the chorus is just fine, its there, it does its thing, its not the reason I love the song. Loving the different perspectives!

I would urge any of the reactors that read this to listen to the Closer again with headphones. I did not care for it on first listen, basically for the reasons that Kevin laid out, but as you unfold the layers in the production and composition it's really genius, and probably the best made track of the three.

VIXX is just really a different genre of Kpop, they don't fit the mainstream Kpop at all which is why ( I think ) they don't get as much hype that they deserve. Although they have taken some parts of mainstream music elements, they know how to influence those elements and make it 'completely'their own. Their music isn't just for you to "jam" into like most mainstream music do, instead you listen to VIXX because there's always something very unique & new to their music.

This is why I love this channel. Some people love songs, some people are "meh" about it, and some people just flat out don't like it. And they're not afraid of giving their opinion, as they give their reasons as to why they felt that way in musical terms. Instead of "I like this cause.... yeah", they explain the chords, modulations, etc. and it's entertaining to me. AND that this is made by college students and is still perfectly on schedule. God, I love this channel lol.

I love dynamite and fantasy but though the closer didnt do as well, it's my favorite of the three and their stages. Not reading comments anymore coz salty comments aint takin this away from me. Thanks for this Umu! It was worth the wait :D

VIXX, VIXX AND MORE VIXX I LOVE IT

A HUGE THANK YOU for picking the songs apart. Instead of "they are so good but i kinda don't know how to explain", now i am much more "equipped" because of your analyses on Vixx's amazing amazing pieces! If I have to pick one out of the three, I would pick Fantasy, 'cuz it's just so majestic! But I find myself jamming the Closer more because of how interesting this piece is. First listen, I was shocked because it seemed disconnected to me, I couldn't remember anything other than the chorus (and that's probably because i've listened to the trailer for so many times). Ravi though, really got me the first time, he went HARD on rapping in the Closer, that tempo and rhyme are no joke.

I love how this channel keeps on putting up VIXX videos even tho she knows that this wouldnt have as much views compared to the other ones that have famous groups. Thank you Umu. ❤ gotta wait for a month for another VIXX yeyyy unlike this 2016 conception :')))))

From what I got- N and Leo are connected Hyuk Hongbin are messengers? Hyuk is the good (?) Hongbin the bad Ken is the over viewer or the one who sent the message (?) Bad guy(?) Ravi is the God who gives the potion someone of high status (?) HES the one N goes to meet in the underworld lead by Ken and encouraged by Hyuk and Hongbin, which later Hyuk tries to stop N. N actions hurt Leo who seems to be apart of him I don't understand what gods they are tie into it, like if Ravi is Hades it makes sense.

i just watched all the reaction videos of VIXX by Classical Musician and I just loved it. I loved how different people explained the content of the video. Yes! yes! yes! The Closer is my favourite from the trilogy and hell yeah VIXX has a really unique style and can pull off a lot of different concepts and styles and they have really good voices...goddamn just by writing this out I realized I have fallen for them q.q

I just hope that tru this channel will get to know VIXX more and appreciate how much VIXX is musically superb to like 80% kpop groups out there and finally stan my princes bc they deserve all love and praise in universe

I love how they pointed that VIXX is not the typical KPOP group and has slightly different music by saying that "They're trying to push and expand the boundaries of KPOP instead of just trying to make a better popular/generic song." And I also love how they see these things also being reflected on VIXX's choreo, how VIXX choreography mainly leaning more towards modern interpretation dance than the usual more hip hop dance other groups has. Oh now that I've all three being compared I realised one things... In all 3 songs, they used similar style of ending. :O

this is absolutely one of the classic vixx songs. I LOVE IT.

The Closer is my all time favorite Vixx song and the one who solidified Jaehwan as my bias alongside Hyuk and I'm happy to see it being appreciated here since it's usually forgotten in the conception trilogy :'^)

This song is genius. There's so much detail in the production and the DEVELOPMENT. No section is repeated the same, they add adlibs and percussion every time... it's beautiful haha

2016 conception is really solid trilogy worth buying the album although i still save my money to buy KER so i can complete my collection like hell yeah where will u find a kpop group who explore soooo many concepts and execute all of them really well??
