personally, i think gain is one of the best soloist in kpop. her concepts are very intricately thought. i love my feminist icon. and the sexiness she extrudes is so natural i love her i hope she gets better and comes back as a soloist and with brown eyed girls.

I love how they made the big happy sound to represent how Gain sees life as a happy movie that's ending, and I like to imagine the C minor at the end shows the little sting that's the mourning, like the end. It's nihilistic, but optimistic. she 👏 did 👏 that edit: [tw] I just got the news that my teacher died earlier today, I have no idea how this coincidence happened.

I had my hopes up when I got notification bout this video only from reading "Gain" then I saw a full title. And realised that its not paradise lost... :(

Good reactions! Gain always bring divided opinions and it's great that an artists can do that because she make people think and dig in her music so they can build an opinion. It's awesome!!!! Also she is one of the soloist that don't stay in one concept or genre. I love her.

Its sad that so many KPop fans don't know about BEG(nohate;)) I hope they are going to have a comeback soon

This song is related to another music video of her, where she died because of war after she gave everything she could. This song is depicting her coming back as a soul to his boyfriend and telling him to not be sad and celebrate her passing like a carnival.

Gain has always presented a cohesive blend of musical and visual concepts, even when it was with Brown Eyed Girls. The best part about her is that while her concepts have changed over the years, she has always managed to be consistently HER. Even when the the music is different, it never sounds unnatural or disingenuous to the profile she has created. I’ve always found the reactions of trained musicians interesting, because of how their ears can pick apart the music. However, I love what you guys do even more, because you show how musicians that specialize in different fields focus on the music differently. Much like I can distinguish the color in my art, they see the multitude of hues and shades of color in music.

I only discovered this channel when they uploaded the SNSD video and since then I’ve been totally digging the videos. I binge watched a bunch of videos. I really enjoy the musical comments and their reactions. Now I watch MVs and think about how ReacttotheK would react and things they’d say. Thank you for introducing me to lovely artists and really promoting some underrated artists like Gain, Ailee and AKMU. You guys bring a different perspective and it makes me think deeper into the music and that’s what makes me appreciate you guys even more. Can’t wait for new videos everyday. Thank you guys and keep up the fantastic work!

I suggest if you will react again to Gain - I request it to be Paradise Lost & Bloom :')

Yes, I've been waiting for this! I'm really excited to see everyone's reactions to Brown Eyed Girls as well. Also I love Gain, she's amazing, and while she's not as technically skilled in vocals as some people in the business, she's got a very different vocal color and know how to use her voice really well. One of the reasons why I love her so much. ^^

I am always teary-eyed about this concept. GAIN portrays a woman who, at the end of her life, was just so happy to be in it. Another vote for Bloom + Paradise Lost! Gain is such an incredibly important artist pushing the ideals of feminism in a society that, despite its rapid development, remains significantly patriarchal, and those songs are two of her most important.

Shout out to Henry for actually appreciating the song with how it is married to the video. That was the whole idea of Carnival. It was talking about a theme as dark as death but giving it a vibrant perspective to it.
