Johann Sebastian Bach (31 March [O.S. 21 March] 1685 - 28 July 1750) was a German composer and musician of the Baroque period. Bach enriched established German styles through his mastery of counterpoint, harmonic and motivic organisation, and his adaptation of rhythms, forms, and textures from abroad, particularly from Italy and France. Bach's compositions include hundreds of cantatas, both sacred and secular. He composed Latin church music, Passions, oratorios and motets. He often adopted Lutheran hymns, not only in his larger vocal works, but for instance also in his four-part chorales and his sacred songs. He wrote extensively for organ and for other keyboard instruments. He composed concertos, for instance for violin and for harpsichord, and suites, as chamber music as well as for orchestra. Many of his works employ the genres of canon and fugue.

At the age of 7 I was in a horrible traffic accident that gave me frontal lobe injury. Being in a body cast for months afterwards .... my only request whenever my mother went to the local library was for more Bach and Beethoven records! I especially loved Bach harpsichord.. .

@@esriettescoachinghub2351 thank you for asking! Yes....as far as my injuries go. Studies have shown that brai injuries in childhood , not only heal, but are over compensated for. For instance...my reflexes are super fast. I've had deer run in front of my car that before my passenger could even register what happened, I was able to swerve to avoid. Its happened a few times now. My memory is superb and sharp I some areas but of course , short term is failing , but I'm in my fifties now. People my age tend to start having this....now Since I have had to deal with short term most my life....I have compensated. I keep organized. I keep things around my home in the same place so that I don't have to remember where it is. Thats the key to dealing with short term memory. Love to u and yours!
The reason Bach's music is glorious is because he purposed to compose music that would give God the glory.

Even as an atheist I cannot disagree. Bachs music was made with glory in mind. He was trying to capture a glimpse of an ethereal perfection through the medium of music. A perfection he saw in the kingdom of God. Something about this motivation of his speaks to me deeply.

helpful.but if you want ur baby to be genius mozart music is the best it's called mozart effect.
I have to say. There is something about classical music that REALLY gets me focused. Like it "occupies" some sort of my brain that normally trails off from the task at hand. I don't know how to explain it. Just thankful I discovered it recently.

It's like the concentration part of your brain is wandering off like a little dog and Bach's music is the gentle leash pull to make it stay close.
I write this in the Corona Virus month of May 2020. The flute actually 'soothes' my mind. When it gets too stressful worrying about how to stay on top of ths virus, the business, the clients, my fitness etc I play my newfound Bach.. and do you know, the sound 'creates' a feeling of the 'muddy' thinking physicaly peeling away . THAT is how it feels when you close your eys and listen to every phrase, every note ... Superb! So now I listen reclined on top of my bed - and it is simply amazing - I wake ''renewed' - and ready to get on with the next challenge to prepare for when corona lockdown is lifted... The person that selected this compilation is a HERO, just like the Doctors and the Nurses fighting Corona today - I salute you ! Thank you for providing heeling to our Souls..
There should be more movies based on this genius.
Just saw an interview with Sting and Dominic Miller who say Bach is a huge inspiration the way his music constantly surprised you.

He is my all time favorite composer!
If there was a perfect composer at the some point of history it must be Bach.

Hace casi 50 anos, un companero y buen amigo de la Universidad me comunico la gran novedad para mi, de escuchar la musica de los clasicos, mientras dibujabamos nuestros proyectos escolares. La influencia fue de descubrir porque los grandes maestros, en este caso en la musica culta no moriran jamas. Nuestra amistad duro muchos anos mas, yo emigre a Canada y el se fue con Dios. Resulta increible, que despues de tantos anos y tantas experiencias, tantos viajes, el matrimonio y los ninos que crecieron y tantas formas de ver la vida, se concentren en el placer de escuchar la riqueza del Maestro Bach, y sus brillantes colegas a traves de los siglos, me traigan la frescura de las epocas con mi gran amigo. Asi las risas, los viajes, las novias o los ninos, los proyectos ya profesionales revivan simplemente al escuchar los acordes que unieron nuestro gusto por la profesion de arquitectos y mas que nada, por la educacion de la sensibilidad al escuchar a traves de tantos anos, no las notas, sino los maravillosos recuerdos. Bach for life
Mozart's songs are very good, but the Turkish anthem is my favourite.
Pianos, unlike people, sing when you give them your every growl. They know how to dive into the pit of your stomach and harmonize with your roars when you’ve split yourself open. And when they see you, guts shining, brain pulsing, heart right there exposed in a rhythm that beats need need, need need, need need, pianos do not run. And so she plays.

I prefer it with the original strings. The long emotional notes get a bit lost with the piano arrangement.
