I've only recently been into Shinee and I listen to their songs almost everyday now and I'm happy that Woozi, Park Kitae, and Hoshi gave us that vibe bcs honestly, it's kind of hard to find a song that has the same vibe and energy as Shinee songs these days.

Yesss I'm a big Shawol and I love seeing younger artists inspired by them! Hoshi is an amazing dancer, but even more than that the way he uses his voice reminds me of Taemin, like the really light breathy high voice (I'm not a singer lol idk words)

And this right here is why Hoshi kept thanking and shouting out Woozi for composing Spider (with Park Kitae) in every freaking interview. It’s genius composition, add Hoshi’s vocals/performance and you end up with this brilliant song. Thanks for the reaction, it definitely gave me more info about why I love it so much other than just my feelings haha.

Okay the fact that I have been listening to this on repeat ever since it came out, BUT I'm not musically inclined at all so to hear everyone talk about WHY it's so good is so OOMFCHEFSKISS. So much skill in the composition and lyrics and then the performance aspect of it it too. GAH I am smiling so hard watching this lmao, thank you ReacttotheK!!!!

In 14:37 when Ju Young said it kinda reminded her of the word "ambidextrous", I felt like she nailed it to the core. For Spider, Hoshi made sure to have both male and female dancers and have intimate choreographed interactions with both because he feels like it should be fluid and not gender-bound. So when she said that, I felt so proud that fhe message came across so well.

This song just shows how much Woozi knows Hoshi because he creates a song that fits Hoshi's voice so well

Also fun fact: Hoshi was voted as the 2nd best dancer in kpop industry by junior idols. He is admired by many.

even if the reaction is to a song that i've already been listening to for ages and made my mind up about my feelings on a while ago, i still find myself waiting until i see leon make a (in this case concentrated!) stink face a la 3:11 before i'm like 'oh thank god, it really is a bop.' edited to add: after watching the whole reaction i wanted to say that having watched this channel from the very beginning stephanie and leon are some of my favorite reactors of all time. the whole crew are fantastic - especially the current team - but while everybody obviously knows a lot about music and does a great job of communicating that wealth of knowledge in a really legible way, stephanie's perspective is always one i don't often see doubled up by anyone's else's review and i love how leon listens so attentively to what she says and then shares his thoughts from what often seem like a completely different but equally valid / relevant perspective. some reactors have certain things they seem to look for in everything and that's really interesting and educational in its own right, but stephanie and leon always bring a pov that's completely different and i learn a lot from them. i really appreciate all the perspectives and all the knowledge you guys share, thanks so much for all your hard work on this channel

Hoshi channeled his own self, own emotions and feelings into this song. Yes, Taem might be his idol but Hoshi and Spider is so far from Taem and Taem's vibes. Hoshi incorporated his self into the song and we all can see it crystal clear.

I’m so happy that you guys reacted to Hoshi’s spider since it was released 3 months ago but I guess good music never gets to late to be checked out :)) I feel the public in general still not knowing much about this song becuz of the lack of promotions. The entire production and performance is so intricately created and organized. It’s so unique that no other artists have done in a similar way by using props to set up the web imagery to fit into the spider concept. Hoshi, the king of performance for our fans.

Ju Young and Jason were SUUUUUCH a mood!! All the lil shrieks of happiness when anything changed in the song. I felt that 🙌

Before I even watched it I want to let you know that this song is an absolute Bop and thank you so much

the way I RAN to youtube to watch this. I always thought this song has a really delicate feel to it, but at the same time, it really entangles you in its vibe and melody. Hoshi did a really good job at connecting his images, lyrics, and music into this wonderful song. I always love watching you guys analyzing and picking songs apart only for them to come back together at the end and still be masterpieces.

I noticed that I REALLY LOVE Hoshi's voice recently--in the SEVENTEEN songs I've been listening to. It's so clean and stable and unique with his falsetto. SPIDER just really hits it right on the spot highlighting Hoshi's singing SO well.

Something that always makes me giggle is that Hoshi has said that he doesn't understand music terms (like timing or what instrument makes what sounds) but he and Woozi make it work. How? Because Woozi understands him so well Hoshi can describe what he is thinking of in dance terms & Woozi can translate that into song. My giggle come from imagining Woozi playing a track for Hoshi & Hoshi saying something like 'I like it but I think the chorus would sound better with less hip thrusts and more body roll." 😄😄

If we talk in aspect of just music, this is hot like Taemin's Move ... like really hot and powerful. Tbh when i experienced this comeback i thought he touched my soul 🤣 a weak point.
