did you know that in Vienna there is a cemetary that's acutally called "Cemetary for the nameless dead"? they used to bury unknown victims there, that drowned in the danube and couldn't be identified. next time i'll visit them i'll play your song to them.

@TheWheelofLife100 The Link between Metal and Gothic is in the Gothic Metal Genre, yes.^^ So the two Genres share a Fusion but Gothic Music also stands alone as you see in this Video. In fact Gothic Music has a very wide Range and can include Electronic, Metal, Classical and other Musicstyles. It's a very wide Genre.

This song is so beautiful. It sounds sad, but has a slight note of hope that everything is alright. Requiem means rest after all, so it makes you feel that you shouldn't mourn any longer, but celebrate their life and be comforted by the fact that our lost ones are now at peace. :)

As long as credits are given anyone can use my music for non-commercial things. =) I am Swiss, so I speak German, that's true, but I prefer to answer in English in public posts so that everyone understands them. Also generally: If anybody has a question for me, write me a PM. The chances to get an answer to a PM are at around 90%, to get an answer from me by a video comment is at about 10%, because there are TONS everyday.^^ I will see a PM more likely than a comment. =)

I've been listening to this specific song since i was a teenager. I enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served 4 years and today I deal with heavy depression. This song has kept me lifted through a lot of struggles. I'm 25 it's crazy this is still my favorite song.

This is easily the most beautiful thing I have ever heard. Dark and beautiful, sad with a hint of hope. In its own way, it is the theme song of the world as it is. Beautiful, but overrun with corruption, but the light is not gone, nor will it ever be gone as long as good people continue to exist.

Peace, my heart, let the time for the parting be sweet. Let it not be a death but completeness. Let love melt into memory and pain into songs. Let the flight through the sky end in the folding of the wings over the nest. Let the last touch of your hands be gentle like the flower of the night. Stand still, O Beautiful End, for a moment, and say your last words in silence. I bow to you and hold up my lamp to light you on your way.

even after all these years of following you, this is the first time listening to this song ... it actually brought me to tears it's so beautiful ...... i love your music so very much and as soon as i finally find a way to live with my depressions i will somehow continue my studies at university and get a job and then it would be my pleasure to support you your music is .... it is so unbelievably beautiful .... it makes me laugh and cry and shiver and ... it touches me very deeply each and every time i won't be the first to tell you that and most decidedly not the last ... and as with all people who have such a large fan base i won't expect you to notice this comment ... after all i am just one in a million, right? ^^ but if you do read this, then i hope my message comes across the way i intended and maybe it will make you happy .... just as your music makes me happy you are an amazing guy ... humble and down to earth and very in tune with nature .... you are very funny actually ^^ .... and even though you probably die a thousand deaths in front of the camera, your nervousness makes me apprecciate you and your genuine character even more ... and between us, i would be just as nervous xD ... it is funny but i can speak live in front of 500 people in the cinema to sell ice cream and joke around with people but i can't make a video or voice message for just one single person to view ^^ ... i wouldn't be able to hold the camera like you do because of how much i would tremble you have my respect and admiration Liebste Grüße aus Berlin ;) Übrigens bin ich Dank dir ein großer Fan von der Schweiz geworden ^^ ... zumindest was die Landschaft und Kultur angeht now then ... good bye for now ... stay happy and always stay true to yourself may the night be ever in your favor ;) fare thee well the one and only Lady of the Night

Of all your wonderful pieces, this is my favourite. It sounds so deep and calm, but yet powerful at the same time, You have accomplished what only the best musicians are capable of, and that is to create distinctive art. When I listen to one of your pieces, regardless of if I know you wrote it or not, my mind instantly tells me that it is your work. Good music is hard to find, but you have made the search a lot easier. Thank you for sharing your beautiful art.

Adrian, I wrote this after listening repeatedly to this song, Beyond the Veil, Angel of Death, Fallen Tears and Death Dance. The poem is now part of my Poetry Book: The Evolution of A Poet. Hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy your music! The Eternal Forest of the Nameless Dead Snow white wings settle beside the fiery close of another day, casting shadows on the dark side of the veil. What was cold stone by day light now appears to dance among the mist and shadow, drinking in the cool night air for as long as this time will allow. A full moon breaks through the trees, illuminating this magical moment with a gift that only this moment will allow. The nocturnal horizon swallows everything around it with the sounds of the river and the white winged owl, giving the only clues to life amidst the darkness. Beyond the veil, a light of such magnitude breaks free in a clearing, shining on some semblance of a glittering path where a single object stands alone. At the foot of the cold stone, a lone black rose, rests among the brilliance of the cold. Long ago, a name once there is now nothing more than bits and pieces of a requiem for a lost love. Without warning, the skies open up and rain falls, bouncing in iridescent crescendos off the figure of an upturned face, wings held high above as if to shield the nameless dead from tears cascading from the skies. Rain spirals down the stairway, filling every crack and crevice. Then, just as quickly as it began, the skies no longer cry. Once again, the moon gives way to glorious deep blue, and illuminates every façade. For a single moment, those who once loved, appear to dance against that magical curtain of darkness. The trees themselves which only moments before loomed grotesquely in the darkness, begin to sway in the macabre dance that was. Here, all is never ending, and regardless, the dance will go on eternally. As the first rays of dawn set fire to the horizon, a single figure stands in silent vigil… stone cold arms outstretched, and for the moment, brings to an end, the dance of the nameless dead. ©2015JLS
