Excellent tutorial as always! Thank you! I have also seen this done with sweeps - an alternative method that is not as quick/ flexible for changes but allows for joining the geometry. Thank you again for all your hard work!

I might suggest drawing in the raised and lowered portions as ceilings. Then you can generate a face based/ceiling hosted trim family. This will eliminate the slight overlap at the intersections. It's not a fast as that method can be but it can give a more accurate look to the joints.

So sorry to say it, Milos, but this video created more issues for me than it solved. Had to figure them out the hard way! hehehe Here goes: 1.- For the half mullion, when you create the profile family, you created the actual profile as you see it (top is top, bottom is bottom) when actually you have to take into account the "inside/outside" reference plane in the profile family template. So the top of the mullion profile is actually on the "Center (left/Right)" reference plane and the bottom would be to the left of that plane. In doing this, you avoid having to do the -90° rotation trick. 2.- You have to uncheck the "adjust for Mullion Size" box in order for the spacing to be equal throughout. When you do it this way, it comes out perfect! Just wanted to add this little bit to the conversation! keep rockin'!

So, I just tried this in an irregular shaped room. The exterior mullion doesn't close around a corner. (it stays a butt end, but doesn't overlap) Is this something that one wouldn't put the perimeter half coffer on but then run it with a sweep so that it has a mitered corner? This would only be a problem when/if you were needing to doa reflected ceiling plan or if the client is asking for an interior rendering.

If the room lengths are 365 cm by 585 cm by 475 cm, what would be the ideal sizes of the squares?

This is not the right way to model in revit, typical of this guy, if you are using this for construction and not representation, do not use this video.

I have been looking for other methods to do this kind if ceiling but unable to find one. Do you know a better approach to make this kind of ceiling that could be used for construction as well?
