Classic Rice from Murcia Spain. El Caldero del Mar Menor - "The Mar Menor Cauldron"

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Traditional fishermens' rice from Murcia, Spain - EL CALDERO DEL MAR MENOR - cooked "on location" in the port of Cabo de Palos.
El Caldero del Mar Menor is a traditional combination of local fish (typically mulled) served with brothy rice. The dish has much in common with other "Calderos" such as the one from the island of Tabarca.
I hope you are inspired to try this classic dish from Murcia, cooked, as always, just like the locals!

I love your vidoes. So authentic and so genuine and absolutely delicious. I love the areas you visit and truly believe you deserve a much larger following; you are doing a fantastic thing. It's language, geography and an intelligent gastronomy. Please don't get discouraged -I believe your website is no more, but you have a core devoted audience that love what you do. I'm doing my best to spread the word, so please keep doing what you do. I can't wait for the next video.

What I like about what you cook is that not only do we get a good recipe, but the cooking techniques I watch you use translate across to multiple recipes. Looked delicious. Simple is often best.

Great video as usual Pete. I love the fact that you are constantly visiting with local chefs, butchers and fishmongers to ensure you have the proper ingredients/cooking methods. It adds such a level of authenticity to your dishes. I also like the fact you use a google map image to pinpoint exactly from where the dishes emanate. Happy New Year and keep 'em comin'.

Happy New Year, Pete! All the best to you and yours. :) I'd be intrigued by European rice inventions... have we had time to embrace rice like we did the potato?
