I love Sierra's voice, it is warm, beautiful and dramatic.

I must say I have never given due appreciation to the other roles other than sopranos and tenors but this baritone is Superb !!! Chapeaux !!!

Stephen Costello is brilliant tenor in the mold of great Italian tenors of times long past. Its the utmost pleasure to listen his effortless singing with great technique and beautiful voice. His interpretations are always spot on. 👏

Elle fait partie de la génération montante des artistes de cette spécialité. Elle s’est forgé une réputation internationale avec ses interprétations magistrales de Gilda (“Rigoletto” ; Verdi) et celle de Lucia (“Lucia di Lammermoor” ; Donizetti). En 2013, Sierra remporte le premier Prix du Jury Populaire au Concours organisé par Neue Stimmen (en). En 2017, elle est la récipiendaire du Richard Tucker Award3. En 2018, elle est honorée du prix Beverly Sills Artists Award et paraît au générique du Gala Richard Tucker Opera la même année

She was named the Richard Tucker Award Winner in 2017 and was awarded the 2018 Beverly Sills Artist Award by the Metropolitan Opera. Having made a string of successful debuts at the Met, Teatro alla Scala, Opéra national de Paris, and Staatsoper Berlin, she has become a fixture at many of the top houses around the world. On August 24th, 2018, her debut album, There’s a Place for Us, was released under the Deutsche Grammophon/Universal Music labels.

Уровень солистов в точности соответствует оперному уровню Ганновера и нынешнего Большого театра (понимайте как хотите). Тот факт, что Костелло и Сиерра теперь поют в Мет, увы, не делает их первоклассными певцами. Колоратуры Сиерры, мягко говоря, весьма спорны. Тембр временами красив и объемен, а временами на грани разболтанности голоса. Вибрато просто таки угрожающее. Костелло - классический микро-тенор без верхов (как бы там и что ни выкручивал звукорежиссер, слыхали в больших и малых театрах). Каждый раз с раздражением думаешь - ну, вытянет? неужели вытянет? Кое-как вытягивает. Баритон просто недоучен, голос между нотами скрипит, как несмазанная коробка передач. Оркестр… Оркестр немецкий, что тут еще сказать. На Лючии и даже Травиате просто хотелось заткнуть уши. Да и на Тоске тоже)))) А зрители аплодиииииируют…. Но, кажется, многие все же понимают, чего стоит происходящее на сцене. Хоть, конечно, это однозначно местечковый карнавал (хорошо хоть без бородатых женщин).
Donizetti's 2 songs represent 20 minutes of pure boredom !! The composer wrote better arias!!

Sorry. this is a very naive comment! A strength of this great concert (and there are many) has been the programme of significant excerps from operas, instead of the most popular, The pedestrianisation of the Vienna State opera in the past two years has almost destroyed it. What matters is excellence, particularly in the Arts This concert and the Concert de Paris are probably the best of Summer 2022

This miserable concert contains the most hackneyed, beaten, so-called "popular" arias that have stuck in the teeth, which means that any cowboy from Arkansas can remember their melody! It is impossible to imagine a worse provincial style, however, Hannover is not a capital, especially not an opera capital))))) And this concert took place in 2021)))
