I truly believe it’s because their commission is one of the lowest out of all the brands rn. I don’t give a shit because I love using and promoting products that are beautiful and will actually work!!! MAC is one of the best brands for actual makeup artistry, and that means more to me than high commission ✌️

So excited for both this video and the tutorial. I’m still a Mac girl at heart, trendy or not. I can just rely on the products to perform.

exactly!! It's so nice to buy into a brand that has a record of quality and consistency, and to know that if you love a products there is a high probability that it will be around forevrr!

I’m still a ride or die MAC girl! The products from them perform so well on me. I’ve tried many brands but this is the brand I’m sticking with. Plus I’m saving more money buying from them because makeup overall is so expensive. I’m choosing other priorities over makeup purchases from many brands.

I have just bought the new eyeliners and often buy their lipsticks, because they are the best. I have A LOT of MAC.... of all catagories. Collected since they got to my country in 1992....

Mallory, thank you for this video, I've been wondering WHY MAC is underestimated now, I have a lot of their products and can't stop loving them. "Wedge" eyeshadow is THE ONE for my hooded lids, it is really a game changer, no dupe still found.

MAC is still the OG brand that raised the bar for quality. I’m watching MOB Beauty because a lot of the previous MAC Corporate team members started the Brand. So far, I am LOVING their products and message. ❤

Ouuuu Mel this video is just in time I just took back at least 30 old Mac containers to Mac yesterday for the final back 2 Mac. I got some staple repurchases modesty and peach blossom lipstick, Mac painterly paint pot, the prep n prime lip primer and lavender fix +. Got some new blushes since my beloved pinch o peach and well dressed are now discontinued. I got Totally Synced glow play blush and hey coral hey mineralize blush for spring. I also got love nectar lip glass. I just recently purged makeup that is as old as my 15 year old daughter. Didn't want to but it was expired and had to be done. You look so beautiful in those warm tones. I look my best in cool and neutral tones. My first non drug store makeup in high school was Clinique then got my makeup done by a Mac artist at Nordstrom I recall he used plum dandy lipstick, mocha blush and coquette on my eyes for a dance I went to with my friends no date! Lollll Love Mac so much!!!! Thx for sharing Friend! Xo

This was fun! The last things I purchased from Mac were from the Whitney H. collection. I got the blush and 2 lipsticks. I back-to-Mac lipsticks recently I chose Mehr and Honey Love. I have some coveted products I still use..mineralized Raybeam, dirty plum blush, Justine Skye, Lust, Aaliyah palette, Rocky Horror palette, etc. I use my collection I don't care how old it is. I do miss a potted pigmented gloss type product they had out. I can't think of the name of it but I loved that color so much. Yes, Pixiewoo had me buying that kohl. too. But I've been hooked on the Urban Decay browns as of late. I know I have some of the same shadow pots around the drawers. lol Need to go through that soon. I like the look of the natural blush. It's probably been on my list. Loving those color for awhile.

Loved this! I’ve been watching beauty KZread since about 2010, so this was such a fun blast from the past! I highly recommend the shade “blush please” in the glow play blushes!

This was so fun! I have most of these products, so I actually used many of them in today's look. 😁

I just purchased two of the glow play blushes; I absolutely love them. They just look so beautiful and natural and work well with my dry skin.

Im going to have to take this out and use them again, i love mac shadows.

I agree that MAC is underrated these days. I have many MAC lippies and eyeshadows that I use on a regular basis (actually many of the same ones you mentioned). I also have several blushes. I love their lipliner shades, but sadly I do find the formula too drying and uncomfortable.

The Paint Pot in Bougie is LIFE and Peachlite Strobe Cream is a must for me under every face of makeup!... 💜💜💜💜

i’ve used mac for so long! i love the Bougie paint pot, one of the only eye products i’ve ever panned. i always have mac base products on hand too. and a lipstick or 3 🎉

Costa Riche is still my fav liner!!! Such a pretty color 😍

Omg I love so natural! But I also have Cheer up which is a coral situation, heat index which is a bright pink and Cheek Devil which is like a muted mid tone. So obsessed with this entire line of blushes

I swear by the paint pots, my go to is Groundwork. Use it every single day. Took me over 2 and a half years to use it up and you bet your bottom dollar I repurchased! Also swear by the So Natural Glow Play Blush. Used up an entire one of those and repurchased. Love, love, love!!

MAC is discontinuing their current back to mac program, they are changing it so you can't get free products for bringing in their empty containers anymore, as of end of March I believe it is. I was so disappointed when I found out. However, I haven't been buying MAC at all in so long, since they changed up their brushes, so not really effecting me much. I might trade in my empties that I still have before it changes. I do remember MAC being the most talked about brand on youtube, when I started watching it. Satin taupe was so popular, woodwinked, wedge etc. I have my old MAC shadows still too. Remember when they were so much pricier, they went down to like $10 a couple years ago. Starry night must be a new one because I've never heard of it, Club was an old green/blue duo chrome, looks like they got rid of it?

I’ve never used Mac before recently I picked up 2 eyeshadows… a deep dark brown and a glittery copper color gorgeous!!!! I love them so much that I just got the connect pallet in nudes im loving some u showed and that concealer sounds AMAZING gonna get that for sure! My under eyes are also like the desert 🤣🤣🤣🤍🤍🤍 thanks a million

We had a downstairs bathroom and the hand basin was near the door, just above the hand basin but below the mirror was a small shelve and my husband left his eye glasses, I was washing my hands and didn't notice my husband opening the door and extending his hand to get his glasses. I jumped out of my skin and like you with Steven (Stephen), not sure how he spells it, I almost had a feckin heart attack...so this made me laugh when you got a wee bit scared. MAC holds so much nostalgia for me, I loved spice lip pencil with the lipstick in Syrup and Omega eyeshadow was that quick go too eye look and Costa Riche, when you said that I could remember using that like it was yesterday. I’m so excited about you being so excited. 😊 Oh my goodness back in the days there was a lady working behind the MAC counter and she was amazing at helping me choose, let’s just say more than I needed makeup. 😂 She would see me coming and would helped me. She was so great with colors and matching me up. There was a lipgloss with color in it back in the early 2000’s shoot it could’ve been before that, 🤷🏻‍♀️ I can’t remember the name of it. I absolutely loved it. I really liked so many of their products. I’m really liking those browns in the eyeshadows. Thank you for bringing my attention back to this brand. You look so happy and beautiful! ❤

I always love your lip combos and I own Smoked Almond and spice 😄 I never tried their original face and body but I bought it recently and I love it. Also their powder kiss line 🔥 My favorites for the liquid are impulsive and over the taupe and the regular lipstick are sultry move and devoted to chili. I also have powder kiss lipsticks in brickthrough, mull it over, and teddy 2.0. I love them all I don't think you can go wrong with any shade

All the 2014 vibes! You're the one who got me into MAC all those years ago! Studio Fix Powder+ has been my holy grail since 2016. I'm always happy with it. Prep & Prime and Velvet Teddy are HGs too. I'm so happy for the video because we just got an Ulta so I don't have to pay for shipping for my MAC stuff anymore, so I can explore their product range a little.

Hi, absolutely love that you did a MAC video. I am an older fan of yours and I don’t know why more people don’t use MAC today! I wanted to ask if you could give me a recommendation for a really good thickening mascara? I had chemo a few years ago, and when my lashes came in, they were sparse and on the shorter side. I can find a lot of lengthening mascara’s, but not a good thickening. Thanks in advance!

I wish MAC had not raised prices so much. I looked at their site yesterday and nearly fell over. When I worked for MAC their shadows were $13.50. They are $21 now, omg.

I just found you!!! Get all your Mac products they are getting rid of their back to Mac program!

People love to hate MAC these days but let’s not forget they are makeup pioneers and without them we wouldn’t have a lot of the makeup we have now!

No they are different. Lipglass is their regular lipgloss formula and Dazzleglass has more shimmer❤️

They, like a lot of cosmetics companies are “cruelty free” but in some countries like China it is required to test on animals. So if brands want to keep selling in certain countries…unfortunately they have to abide by their laws. It’s super tricky.
