I love this episode watched it when I was 15 yo as a kid , loved the fact they buttered the bun and loved the respect Jacque showed an an elderly Mrs Julia child so much respect and love

I remember when this was first aired on television. It's a wonderful clip, but there are some happy moments missing from the beginning. Julia suggests, "let's make lunch", and described the hamburger, pronouncing it "ham-boor-zhay" in deference to Jacques and her love of French cuisine. Comparing their tasty burgers at the end was great.

I feel now modern chefs are over complicating the recipes.
They are adorable and national treasure but that is a fucked burger
Raw onions unfortunately give me gas. Well at this point in my life everything gives me gas. Ugh
The patty is too thick. You have to really open your mouth 4 inches or just nibble around it. But they are fun to watch and Jacques loves to eat.

I like to make 2 thinnier meatballs, I also don't like bloody raw beaf.
these look like shit :( . like they slapped it together. you can make the classic hamburger look nice. I am disappointed in them.
