HEY YOU ABOUT TO POST SOMETHING STUPID:
Yes, I know my hands are large/fat. It's because of a heart condition I suffer from called Congestive Heart Failure. Here's a link to some information about CHF: cle.clinic/2TdS2Ux
One of the symptoms is that it causes fluid retention, mostly in the hands, feet/ankles, and face..

Indeed I enjoyed this video. So I did with all your previous ones, several years by now! This opamp will fit nicely into a cordless drill/screwdriver where I recently swapped out the old NiCd batteries with a new LiIon pack that I build. Looking forward to see your next videos!

I think I would have used a comparator rather than an op-amp. They tend to be better behaved when the input go close to rail. If you are looking for a low component count solution, there are a number of microprocessor reset circuits that can be adapted to function as over or under voltage detectors. They have the advantage of a built in voltage reference.

Hello sir, a couple weeks ago I comment on a circuit for an idea to make a 555 on a breadboard. I finally made one and working on a video of it to put on my page. I had a bad IC ! I used a LM393, 74hc8, 74hc02 and a 74hc14. Also a NPN for a discharge and a PNP for a reset. The capacitor a 470uF and had it working by itself in Astable without an external clock! Thanks for your inspiration!

It looks to me like both black and red wires of the pot are connected to positive since both + and - of the power rail (rail furthest from the camera) seem to be connected to power via the red clip. Did I miss something?

An illusion, the red clip is only connected to the bottom row of the top right header pins (otherwise, as you say, no worky).

PAUL, in house wiring its Hot, Neutral, Hot and if the neutral gets OPEN this is no longer 120VAC across the load its 240vac. Most the loads are "unbalanced" not the same values across the Hot, Neutral, Hot so when the neutral is an open circuit the unbalanced loads get damaged. How would a comparator circuit be able to detect or sense an OPEN circuit, try making a video lesson about monitoring OPEN circuits

@learnelectronics can you make an episode about how to detect 230AC so it would not destroy the microcontroller? I was thinking about using an LED as a main indicator and photoresistor to create a homemade optoisolator. But I am sure that you know a better way.
