    We live in parallel. :-) Point out to the nice viewers that if you miss masking even one small hole that goes through the panel, the undercoating will blow through it & marr the "front side". So taping every ickle hole on the primed side is super-important. Nothing worse than removing the masking paper & finding there was a sneaky bolt-hole that got missed. :-)

    Masking the wings (which I did yesterday, lol) for underseal, you have to be even fussier as there are 101 spots the black can sneak through. I use vaseline for re-assembling the axel stuff - it doesn't muck up the nice shiny paint but still works great. ...which I did on thursday.. :-)

    Very good point! and it really is very important to do! As you mention, nothing worse than unmasking and finding runs all down the freshly primed panel! If forgot to mention it in the video. Good point with the Vaseline! didn't think of that :) good luck with the assembly! nice to know I'm not alone on the journey! keep at it James!

    Just before you coated the underside of the bonnet you put something on the seam at the back of the bonnet what was that and what was the reason for that? Great job you are doing there.

    Thanks so much Eddie. That was Tiger Seal, I put that on the areas we have welded/repaired to keep any moisture out of the weld as sometimes there are pin holes in the welded areas. Just an extra layer or protection :)

    Is that Raptor liner OK with the heat from the engine?

  • @mikeafa1

    I was thinking the same thing. I did notice that it was a 2k mix so maybe it dries to a hard finish?

  • @yorkshirecarrestoration

    @yorkshirecarrestoration

    Жыл бұрын

    It dries to an extremely tough wearing hard finish, the heat from the engine will not be anywhere near hot enough to affect the coating. Good comment though! Thanks!
