i was fortuneate enough to have driven these Engines whilst a secondman at Reading,and one trip always comes to mind when driving 50010 from Paddington to Oxford and clocking 105 mph through Maidenhead......Happy days

How nice to see these Beauties again( with bonus 47's). Great memories , thank you for putting it on. I have hundreds of photos ( 6x4) from Exeter in this era as well as four boxes of various magazines from the same era, Rail, Traction, Rail Enthusiast etc.if anyone is interested?.

As a child I used to to live near St Davids and remember visiting the station frequently seeing all this, the 50s and 47s I used to see alot and looking at this brings back old memories. Thanks for sharing!

Excellent video - especially as I was out further up the line (Salisbury - Waterloo) the same day and had 50 003 between Salisbury and Woking where the driver failed Temeraire as it kept tripping the fuses! Which brings me to a problem - your notes show that Glorious was on the 14:22 Exeter - Waterloo but I had Glorious forward from Woking at 13:40!! Twenty three years on who know - it's just great to see the action!

Wonderful stuff, brings back memories from when I was a teenager - it was a long from Manchester on paper round money! How I would love to see a 50 clocking 105mph in preservation!

3:00 - Well done on holding your breath until the loco was a fair distance away so as not to spoil the shot! Always got to remember that the video always comes first, whether you're gassed out or not!! :)

Something that has bugged me for years is at 4:50 onwards! Why is there a bit of track going uphill, on the right hand side... somebody able to clear that up for me? Notice it all the time and always forget to find out why its there and what it was used for.

Nice Video! if you like class 50's you should take a look at British Railways - Class 50 on facebook where you can upload your own videos and share your own pictures.... in the future we can also look at providing upto date news on the last remain class members, lets build a class 50 community
