@@animal79thecat the loco on the back (Class 47) helped push the coaches when the Class 40 40 was struggling hence why there is a driver in it. The Class 47 is also there to provide heating & electricity to the coaches I think and also incase the Class 40 on the front fails it can rescue the tour, I hope this helped answer your question, thanks for the comment!
